Just caught up... and this thread really petered off at the end. Really anticlimactic. I give it a 9 in the beginning and ended up a 5

He will have to run extra laps or work out extra hours. This will never result in a suspension in August.

So, going 85 in a 55 would be felony? C'mon.

YES.......85 in a 55 is considered a felony in Louisiana! They CAN (but not always do becasue of the ammount of paperwork) arrest you for going 30+ mph over the posted speed limit. But if they do write it for 30 over it is mandatory court. My 1SG is also a State Trooper and he is also one of my sources.

Chip is having a press anouncement this afternoon. So, something is happening. My guess is he won't start the LSU game. However, he may just get a suspension.

JMO - he will take the Urban Meyer approach... say publicly that he is 'suspended indefinitely' and then reinstate him by the 2nd quarter of the first game

If they were playing Portland State instead of LSU he would have been really strict and made him sit out the whole game

You appear to be right. And to the O.P. we are about to see the kind of slime Kelly is. Harris has been allowed back with the team and has been practicing and working out with the team. It's only a matter of time before he'll be allowed to plan.

What a surprise.

The speeding ticket would be a team rules violation, and I'm willing to allow Kelly whatever discretion he wants. However, the fact that the car was rented by a University employee is a potential NCAA infraction. And Harris has got to sit for that one. Kelly has no choice but to treat him as ineligible, and petition for reinstatement.
