No matter what you think about WBB this would be the greatest coaching coup since Jimbo

and Nick Saban.

it was going to take a lot to get all three of these coaches out of their previous spots and Scott Woodward seemingly has been a part of 2/3

Hiring Jimbo for 100 mil was not a victory.
Except for Jimbo.

I don't follow WBB closely, but Nikki Fargas to Kim Mulkey would be a major upgrade.

I agree, but he was told to get Jimbo and he did.

I don’t think anybody outside of College Station would disagree but they had the resources to do it, so Woody took advantage of the situation to make a splash hire

What the hell? Jimbo? A goofball made famous by someone who makes me think of crab legs… a coup? A hiring notch in the bedpost? Nah Bruh

Wasn’t Jimbo’s contract 10 years/$75 million?

If that’s an overpay in CFB then wouldn’t Mulkey be an overpay at ~$2.5 million in WBB?

Is he on the verge of the same with Kim? $2 mm for WBB at LSU? Hard to imagine that happening but we will know soon enough.

Jimbo??? He’s been a bust! For $75 million you better make an instant impact and he hasn’t done much

im not a huge Woodward fan but let’s not pretend like they didn’t tell him to go out and get Jimbo and that’s exactly what he did

Jimbo was the evil guy after the Saint Bobby. So getting him to leave Tally was not a big deal.

He would have left FSU for half of what they paid at aTm.

The point is that A&M wanted Jimbo and had the cash to do so. Woodward made it happen.

Same can be said for Mulkey at LSU

I know Jimbo hasn’t won a Natty at A&M, but they had a top 5 team last year. That’s with a program that historically has never won dick, and they play in the toughest division in the toughest conference in college football. Are we really going to pretend like Jimbo is some bum?

I think A&M has the same problem all Texas schools have: too many soft Texans.

But he instantly had them ranked 2/3 years higher than they had been since JFF was there.

He definitely improved the program

He has a&m looking respectable.

He is a great recruiter who has hired some good coaches.

They will be in the top 8 in recruiting every year with jimbo.

Getting Peterson out of Boise was an unreal hire and a better one than Jimbo
