Already beat them in Charleston. Should be a good game.

A rematch is pretty lame. Wtf NIT. Atleast LSU will be a decent favorite

Talk about a complete disappointment.

North Texas is a solid team. But (1) LSU has already played them, and (2) the name won’t move the needle, AT ALL, for a likely home game. There might be 3K-4k people who show up for an unplanned game on a Tuesday night.

No offense to NTU, but basically ANY bigger “brand name” would have been better

I agree brother. Was extremely disappointed with who they gave us. I'll still show up.

Kinda worried about the rematch as in typical LSU fashion we might overlook them and lay an egg

Seems pretty clear that they are trying to keep matchups relatively close to each other

Some of you are insufferable.

North Texas has an actual trophy from winning the NIT championship last season. LSU last year, on the other hand, had one of its worst basketball seasons ever.

And we're going to demean this NIT matchup?

I just hope we win a game (or hopefully two).

It's the NIT. Villanova is the only basketball brand name in it.

They have a different coach and a lot of new players. I still think they're a really good team. The issue isn't that we're going against North Texas, it's that it's a REMATCH OF A TEAM WE ALREADY BEAT.

I will be at the game - home or away, so it’s not a matter of supporting the team. I think the disappointment (from my perspective) is that this is a team we have already played. I think some of the excitement of postseason play is the chance to play teams from other conferences after a long conference season. It is what it is and I’m still excited for any additional LSU basketball at this point.

LSU is a better team now than last November. And we're playing them at home-- feel good about our chances.

Do we yet know the date and time of the tipoff?

Happy to see CMM and this team get some post season play. This will be good experience for the younger guys.

As a Memphis fan as well, I can tell you NTSU is capable of jumping up and biting us, especially as a rematch. They are the type of program that actually cares about making it to any level of postseason play.

The Tigers just have to stay focused and avoid the lengthy swoons that have killed them in some games, including their last one. They should win it, especially at home.
