This year BK did the best job in the world with the new staff, transfers, and he won the West with little team stability and now he has a year to get his program identity established. What a time to be a Tiger Fan!
Next year I’m not saying we’re winning the Natty, but it’s going to be a wonderful season and almost no doubt we’ll be in the playoffs.

I want to believe. But I think 2024 is the year. I predicted 8-4 for 2022, so I have no clue.

A lot of holes to fill on defense. If JD5 stays he has to learn to sling it which I'm not sure he can. Nuss or Howard are talented but untested. 2024 may be the year, but 3 of LSU's 4 nattys have been in odd numbered years.

This is very true. If Daniels comes back and takes that 5th year senior leap and we get excellent transfers on both DL and secondary, then yes, 2023 is the year. My major concern is and will be depth until that 85 man roster is filled.

You're right about this.

Florida State in Orlando might be the second toughest game of the season. Tuscaloosa is obviously the toughest, but your road games other than that are Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Missouri.

Yes, A&M will be a reasonably tough game, but with the revenge factor and it being at home it's hard not to see us winning that.

And Auburn, Arkansas and Florida are our other home league games. All three had better get filthy rich in the portal or else they're going to really struggle against us.

We miss Georgia, Tennessee and Kentucky from the East next year. We even miss South Carolina. You can't get much of an easier schedule.

And that will be a very good-looking roster by the time fall camp rolls around.

I'm assuming we'll fill holes in the portal. Everything I hear is that these kids are beating our doors down to come. Simply applying what we did with the portal this past year and projecting that to the current offseason, we're going to have a very solid roster.

There are questions, but everybody at this point in an offseason has questions. What we know is LSU is going to have a good number of future high draft picks on the team, more so than anybody on the schedule other than Alabama and A&M.

you can sign as many as you want this year so there's no reason not to have 85 next season. Unless BK just can't find guys he wants to sign

Agree. Georgia will be tough again as well as bama. I think we fall in next and maybe by the end of the season the younger players will be battle tested enough to beat Bama and win the west again.

Does bama have a QB lined up? Ole back up doesn't fit their mold

Book it! The Gumps will make a huge play for Drake Maye.

I got him confused with the NC State kid, Devin Leary. That's who I meant.

Anything worse than 9-3 should be considered a failure with this schedule.

The 2023 schedule is set up perfect for a run. The big question marks will be filling the major holes at every position on defense through portal transfers and landing some solid recruits who are able to contribute immediately.

Love the enthusiasm but tell me where we will instantly fill in the losses on defense, along with filling in the tremendous lack of depth we have.

Next year is not a slam dunk at all. We have a ways to go.
