Job 1-2-3 of any prospective LSUMBB HC is to RECRUIT. I want a HC who can recruit well. If you cannot recruit well, you won't be winning in the current SEC.

I think Woodward, thanks to papa Mark Emmert, already knows the sanctions will be next to nothing since they sent Wade packing.
Armed with that knowledge, he will make a big hire and the hire will know that going in.

And how are we supposed to lure a recruiter to LSU when the job has nothing to offer? We have 80s style facilities and there is no investment into the program. The best thing we can do is try to get lucky like the Wade hire and get a young guy who’s in tune with the modern style that can steal wins by overachieving. This idea that an AD who’s never invested a cent into basketball will somehow take a coach from a better program is pie in the sky thinking. LSU basketball is the runt of the litter here and Woody hasn’t shown any willingness to change that.

Well Darius Days hates that decision. He stormed off practice the first day he was in charge. I would rather bring in Brady for two or three years to bridge through the sanctions than hire Nickelberry.

LSU is cutting a deal in light of WW using his personal account. That’s a Level 1 violation by the head coach we kept around. The violation he committed is THE biggest no no there is (head coach paying a prospect or influencer). Fire WW. Agree to some basketball penalty that’s pretty significant. Save the cash cow that is football and regroup in 2024 for basketball.

If you think 2.5mil is gonna turn the mens program around you’re more ignorant than I thought. But then again someone who thinks LSU football, baseball, basketball and woman’s basketball are all the same has already proven their stupidity beyond all doubt.
