Lane Burroughs seems to be worth a long look.

I’m convinced half of the people who suggest this have never watched a college baseball game LSU isn’t playing in and can’t name another coach.

He's the only coach in the last 60+ years at State that didn't get them to Omaha

Woodward should turn to MLB. LSU needs to shake up College Baseball. Bring a former MLB manager with proven success, maybe a World Series. See if they want to come rebuild a dominant national program. Recruiting should be easy with the right person.

I don’t think there should be any thought given to what it would take to retain Nolan Cain. Any energy spent in that direction is useless. He’s extremely replaceable.

His “avoid the clap” advice may not hold up with Tigerland in play.

Texas Tech is a legitimate program unlike what we have!

And their athletic director voted against a third paid assistant. I wonder if their coach feels like that AD has his program’s best interest in mind?

People would lose their mind, but we could do a whole lot worse than Matt Riser. Dude is a legit coach.

This program has lost a lot of luster and mystique since 2017. I mean, at this stage of the game, why would somebody like Tony Vitello leave Tennessee and come here?

I know there are mid-major coaches that would seize the opportunity and one may be the answer. But I think we’ve gotten to the point where no successful SEC head coach is going to view the LSU job as a step up.
