And the band pre-game gave me the biggest goosebumps!
I can assure you, most of the band gets goosebumps the first time too. My first pregame march when I was in TGBFTL was that ridiculous storm when Oregon State came to town in 2004. We made it to the tunnel formation, dropped our horns, massive crack of lightning cut through the sky and the place went nuts.
I got my arse chewed up and down for having the biggest wide eyed smile on my face...breaking uniform. That first time is special.

I’m 71 and still get goosebumps. Those 4 notes.

i got to be on the field during the kickoff in 2005 vs Tennessee. One of the most frustrating, and worst, games I attended in my life but prior to kickoff it was incredible. I will never understand how those players can hear or process anything based on how loud it was there.

did too many years ago… walked through the locker room then the tunnel touching the WIN bar also then walking out on the field.. I had goosebumps and no fans were there… I can only about imagine what’s it’s like with 100,000 fans in the stadium.. it’s an awesome feeling just seeing the turtle back field from ground level and looking up in the stands…what a memory….
100% agree. I went a few years back. I had done it before, but never since the new south end zone expansion. Being a huge fan of LSU my entire life, walking down the hallway towards the win bar felt kind of surreal. Its like you could feel the history. Then opening the door and seeing "Welcome to death valley" and the new south expansion was breath taking. I'd encourage every big LSU fan to experience that once.

When you go from playing in front of 50,000 to 100.000 plus.

That’s awesome for the kid. Good for him!

I played the trumpet in the band 73-75. When we played those first 4 notes the sound was so deafening that you couldn’t hear yourself play.

You can feel the history when you walk on the field in that empty Tiger stadium at night.

One year when Miles was coach, there was a Lady Football 101 day. We went and got to go to the locker room and run out as well. I missed the win bar
And they put pads/jerseys on us .. I was miserable lol.
