I could care less too. It’s like watching the NIT tournament. Just pointless and even the players don’t care.

I enjoy watching LSU play football, so I still care about the Tigers' bowl game.

Other games I take on a case by case basis. If it seems to be a good matchup, I'll watch (depending on what else is going on with the holidays and stuff). Others I'll skip. But that's the way I've always been with bowls.

Today I watched a good bit of the Jackson State game and it was pretty entertaining.

I still care, but I hate what has happened.

It's why I am not even going to laugh at Florida today. So many guys opting out. It actually gives the weaker teams a good chance to beat the SEC teams.

It sad to see how many players are starting not to care either... I hope something is done by the Bowl games to make the game profitable for the players. Just a lil something for the winning team .to make it interesting.

But the players need to have more pride and care more for their School.

I am still hoping that NIL sponsors will inspire their players to get that last exposure at the bowl game - give them a bowl bonus, whatever.

The free market will correct this when Bowl sponsors bail because nobody shows up at all with both teams have 6-8 star players opting out. Like other posters have said, people aren’t going to travel, pay for hotels and all that for a glorified spring game. At least half should move to beginning of year and become “the Cheez-It Kick-off Classic”

If TV ratings and tickets sales plummet so will revenue for bowl sponsors. Then the bowls will either go away or they will do something about the opt outs. It’s about the return on investment the bowl sponsors receive.

Most of you need classes in reading comprehension. I never said anything about not being interested in the LSU game.

I’m in Vegas this weekend. Went to the Florida beat down. I was pondering the conundrum regarding the scholarship / nil as compensation for playing football games for the school. Florida was a shell of the team that played the regular season. I’ve come to think the players should be required to finish ‘all’ the games in which the school participates since the ones options out are compensated. You could get them injury insurance policies if that’s a concern. Just my opinion since all bowls will be exhibition practices soon. What say you fine gentleman?

Again I just wish there would be some serious discussions about a second tier playoff to save the dying bowl structure.
Bottom line bowls started dying due to the 4 team playoff. Just wait to see how much people care about those bowls after 12 teams are in.
