Never thought that I would get to the point I could care less about the Bowl games

But I really could care less for ones outside the playoff. The expansion is the only option for helping with interest.

We are now missing more LSU players for the Bowl game because they opted out and I really cant blame them. But 10 wins is on the line and that should be a motivation because after all it is or was a "team" sport.

Aggravating because I used to love Bowl games.
Pandoras Box is open for opting out and the NIL trash being unregulated is absolutely killing my genuine interest in the game.

I could care less, too. I could care a lot less. In fact, I’m excited for the bowl game!

It’s a shame. College sports are a mere shell of what they used to be.

They’ve been pretty entertaining so far and I’d much rather more football than just moving on to playoff football and being done

I agree. This opting out shite is ridiculous. You come get a free ride to play football and then you leave your school for its bowl game unless you wind up in the CFP. Just as soon do away with bowl games and just have a playoff. And then this NIL shite has really screwed up College Football

I'm not saying I wont watch. Sports is sports. But knowing most players don't want to be there and anyone draftable wont play sucks.

Agree. The FCS playoff game yesterday was more entertaining than most these bowl games. I just don’t see how the bowls will survive. I wouldn’t spend my money to fly across country (or drive to FL), tickets, hotels to see a team that is a shell of its regular season self.

Agree they are pointless, half or more of the draft eligible players opt out, half empty stadiums and stale atmospheres. I welcome expanded playoffs

I'm even open to a second grouping of (12-24 Teams) to enter and compete some form of a different playoff that don't qualify in the Top 12. I would most definitely watch that and players would be more interested than the dumb bowl games the way they are now.
Either that or Bowls are done. Sponsorship will cease and be cut and eventually they will die.

*Same idea as the NIT

Outside of LSU games did you really enjoy the bowls for the players or did you just enjoy watching college football?

I see the point you are trying to make but knowing that the landscape has changed as well as the priorities of separate individuals are more important than the team leaves a bad taste i guess.

I remember the days when players didn’t quit on their team even if they were a first round selection. Now you have guys that may go round 4-7 backing out. And don’t give me the shite that they could get hurt. The players back then could have too. The sport is turning into a bunch of bitches scared to play. I donate a good bit of money and have 6 season tickets. If I’m paying money I want to see a good product all season.

I love the bowl games for the very reasons some of you hate them.

Most of the players will never be professionals so they are playing for the love of the sport and for one last time (some of them) of being with their team mates. They aren't opting out. They are playing to finish their commitment to their schools. Some are from less than blue blood schools and they get their time in the national spotlight. Some will never get a dime from NIL, but they are getting a well earned education, thanks to football and the revenue these "useless" bowl games generated for their schools.

Now I want you baws to be honest with yourselves. If you had the opportunity, by some miracle to be able to play in a bowl game just this once, would you take it or shrug it off?
