They have the votes, Meaux. They wouldn't call the meeting if they didn't. The meeting is to "show LSU how serious they are" in the hopes they get Lane to back down.

Starting to think Texas is behind some of this. They’ve ruined every other conference they’ve been in and Sankey bows to them already

I think Texas 100% wants to wrest control of the SEC in their favor, but I don't think their play would be to do it by tearing out a member especially a neighboring state that is tied closely together with them beyond college athletics.

Ever watch reality shows like Big Brother or Survivor? If you have an opportunity to vote out your biggest competition, you take it

frick the sec. Go independent and make the cfb playoff every year. This is middle school girl bullshite and lsu should just laugh and say do it. We will make more money on our own.

You serious?? Substitute a contender with a resume padder? Game has changed bcs and sos is gone, the goal is top 12 probably top 16 soon. No one is competing for the top 2 spots anymore bc of notre dame and the smaller weaker sos teams.
The ticket is playing 2-4 decent quality teams with 1-2 of them being high quality opponents
Texas - Yes
Texas A&M - probably
Oklahoma - maybe
Missouri - maybe
LSU - Nah
Arkansas - maybe
Ole Miss - yes
MS State - maybe
Tennessee - yes
Vanderbilt - Nah
Kentucky - Nah
Alabama - maybe
Auburn - yes
Georgia - yes
South Carolina - Maybe
Florida - yea
Hope the vote happens and we get voted out and we finish the year and sue ever loving frick out of the conference and start over next year maybe a couple years as independent until the shite settles and we take part in building a good stout league with close ties to the nba nfl and mlb with fair and equal application of black and white rules and timely application of new rules in respects to the sports drafts, recruiting windows, semester enrollments & decisions on federal and state rulings.

Specifically, how could Lane/LSU "back down" at this point? The SEC isn't even asking for anything. It's purely vindictive.

Didn't he do that by not having the players on the roster?

Arkansas 100% absolutely would. There is a pure hatred here and it’s bad. I live here and I guarantee if for nothing else it would be to get away from our baseball program.

I take this as they can’t legally vote them out currently, they aren’t saying they are but they don’t even have the legal authority to do so with out requesting a court order and having that authority voted on by the conference members.

Bama maybe. I read somewhere that penis head "reported" on his show that Bama doesnt have the money to compete with Texas, a&m, or lsu in this current environment.
But that could be lies

There is no way that they would file an amended pleading and hold a meeting without LSU to set a Thursday vote if they didn’t have the votes to kick them out.
