As much as I dislike whst college athletics have become, we have to take advantage of everything allowed under the rules to be competitive.
As Saban said “I don’t care what the rules are….just tell me up front”.

Yeah, I don't disagree with trying to set up these guidelines overall (while they have been completely ignoring what has been going on in college Olympic sports for many years). I do have an issue with waiting till everyone has signed their class for next year and now trying to quickly change the rules.

Tell the NCAA to go f*** themselves.

Damn... Woodward will fold like a cheap suit.
Oh...wait...

Simple LSU will file suit and they will win. Can’t institute a rule after we are signing these players

Gone are the days where hometown/state players are fan favorites and generate fan’s pride. Except for Dale Brown buying out of state players like Macklin, Scales, Cook, Sims, etc.

NCAA guzzling that blue blood man juice.

The guidelines seem very subjective and with "multi factor analysis" opens various avenues for a player to be denied.
If this was released to schools earlier this month after teams have picked up pro internationals, Wade and LSU hopefully know that this wont be enforced this season. You cant pull this off so late in portal window.
But in general i wish they make the rules that pro league players cant play college ball. I dont like what is happening at all

Amazing how corrupt they are. That’s why they’re gonna lose everything

To Garth….(and by the way, never trust a man with that name):
How many NCAA “blue blood” members have lobbied for this??? It seems a bit fishy, Garth, that this comes up now — for example, when a former target of the NCAA thinks “out of the box” and beats many blue bloods to the punch — in stockpiling (legally I might add) players from Euro league teams and NBA G league. Sure , Duke, NC, Michigan, et al, have a foreign player here or there —- but a coach of a major Div 1 program comes along and gets nearly ALL his roster from these non-college portals, and all of a sudden the NCAA is concerned. You’re not fooling anyone. It’s been just fine, for non-revenue producing college programs (tennis, swimming, golf, track & field) to stockpile foreigners for decades now. No peep from the NCAA. BUT a D1 college basketball team, from a proud non-blue blood program does this, and all of a sudden “we must change the rules!!!….” Says the NCAA clutching their proverbial pearls

Just stop with the incessant whining!
No wonder fans of other SEC teams think we're a bunch of cry babies.

Yep LSU needs to just go ahead file suit and let’s beat the shite out of them in court.

The basketball elites do not want LSU successful in basketball....
and it puzzles me.

Generally, the international players who will have more difficulty satisfying this multi-factor analysis are older players who (1) played multiple seasons in a high level professional league (and likely were compensated accordingly)
Kentucky basketball spent 22 million last year on their players.

Now there is a "guideline" prohibiting it and they will handle the eligibility on a "case by case
In other words of Duke, Kansas, UNC, KY do it, nothing wrong and players will be elligible.
Anyone else, not so fast right?
