When the NCAA agrees to nothing more than what you self-imposed, you self-imposed too much.

Should have negotiated everything else down and agreed to a longer show-cause.

LSU should tell the NCAA to pound sand. They will be irrelevant in less than 5 years.

Now LSU can appeal the Cregg court ruling and include the sanctions, haha. Let play chess….

Pretty sure that just means if we screw up again in the next year, they'll be extra mean.

Woodward is arguably the best thing to ever happen to LSU athletics

I definitely thought this ruling was going to be about the will Wade stuff.

I had honestly forgotten about Cregg

I don't know if the NCAA going with all of the school's self imposed sanctions will give you any ammo for that suit.

Does this mean basketball is in the clear or were these rulings just regarding football?

No basketball will have post season ban for at least two years. That is something that is guaranteed.

They deserve to be. The "violations" are ridiculously trivial.

He gave a kid some used LSU gear and arranged a tour of Tiger Stadium and shite like that.

I would think the NCAA giving Cregg a 3 year show-cause penalty would be enough ammo on its own.

Or you worked behind the scenes with the NCAA to get the best outcome for your school.

Thank goodness this was nothing more than a slap on the wrist but I hope it serves as a wake up call to the powers that be that these things can happen when you have an idiot in charge

This is very minor and could happen under any coach. The key is firing the person if you find out that it is taking place. That was done.

That would be extremely short term thinking considering we are still under investigation for all the basketball stuff. I’m not sure, we may still be under investigation on the football side too with vadal Alexander’s dad issue.
