People say they know the metrics, but every year there are teams that were supposed to be solidly in, but end up left out. All I said was that they might not make it and that I still think they will anyway. Either way, the last month has not been a good look for NC State basketball.

NC State won't miss the tournament. If they lose to Duke they'll still be 19-11 overall and 10-7 ACC. Their Kenpom and NET rankings are both ~ 30. Joe Lunardi had them as a LOCK on his latest bracketology. And if NC State wins its final reg season home game vs Stanford, a so-so team, that will solidify their LOCK status.

100%. I remember when Wade was here and we'd get these mid season panicky posts: "we're not making the tournament!!!!" after a loss.
Wade has this figured out. He's got a guy on the west coast who projects for him who will be good out of conference wins, but are yet winnable, especially by a good coach like Wade.
They're still top 30 NET after the bad loss yesterday, and have ELEVEN quad 1/2 wins.
They could lose the last 3 and would still sneak in.

Why have any rules at all? Hell, let’s just pay the refs and, when caught, just shrug our shoulders and pretend that “everybody is doing it.” Maybe we can have the players openly using PED’s and look the other way.

That’s the funny thing, we knew he wasn’t coming for free and Dawkins’ alleged pay sheet had both Jarrell Martin and Tim Quarterman on it with exact amounts that were paid to them but you’ll never see a mcmen or Wade hater acknowledge it.
