Is that a record for 1st round players?

The saints have easy access to scouting LSU players. Rather than use that advantage, they rarely scout LSU players more than any other to even know if there are any worth drafting. Plus, we take players from Bama because of where they went to school, who have horrible medical history (safety sunsari specifically here) rather than take a similarly skilled player from LSU. It’s especially shitty when you compare how these LSU players the saints passed on are balling out to the shite ones we drafted. Other than the past 2-3 years, our draft process and selections have been pretty questionable.

What a pussy. You do realize Grant Delpit switched positions, toughed it out and played almost the entire year with a high ankle sprain that did not get better, was a leader on the defense that won a national championship, won the Thorpe award and is still so injured that he was not 100% to be able to compete at the NFL combine. The dude is a beast. You’re an idiot.

It was rumored that Tom Benson would not allow drafting of LSU players following some things that happened during/post Katrina. It would not surprise me to see LSU players getting picked by the Saints much more commonly going forward.

Burrow, Chaisson and Delpit are locks

The rest are top 45 players that will either be in the 1st Round or not based on fit/need

You could easily make the case there are 5 better CBs than Fulton. Queen plays a lower valued position and has the 1 year stigma, same as Clyde. Jets is among a loaded WR class.

Would be cool to see 6 though. I think we see 5, with Fulton going first-half of Round 2

With that many great players getting drafted in round 1, LSU should be playing in the College Football Playoffs and winning some National Titles!! Oh wait, we won last year!!

Burrow, Chaisson and Jets seem to be the "locks". Delpit's stock has fallen, I still he goes in the 1st. I think Fulton does too. Of the NBC's 6 projected 1st rounders, I think Queen is the biggest long shot.

What made Queen jump up to 1st round? His 40 time certainly wasn't great. Unless his 2nd run was much better, which I didn't see.

Did you miss him dominating on the field vs Clemson? Dude was all over the field making plays

I'm not surprised that we have that much first round talent, you just rarely see these mocks lining up with the actual draft. Plus 6 is a lottttt. '04 Miami had six first rounders in one draft, for reference.

Greedy was top ten pick for a long time and went mid second round as I recall.

we'll see, but I believe he's a proven player and leader that teams aren't letting out of the 1st Rnd.

he just needs to run well on a healthy ankle during Pro Day and you'll see his stock go back up

Jets just plays at a loaded position, so I think you'll see a lot of teams waiting for the run on WRs before they jump in because it's so deep. That's why he's not a lock in R1 imo
