Why does this board think that the Saints have to draft LSU players? You realize that there is a whole world of college football players out there, and some of them are good.

Would be surprised if it's actually that many. But still, very impressive. Duh :))

So arguably the greatest offensive football team in cfb history...could possibly have four first rounders on defense?!

Can’t recall anyone whose stock plummeted as bad as Delpit’s.

Sorry to derail this thread, it was not my intention.

But LSU has like 50 something players in the NFL. And the Saints, while only 70 miles away from LSU’s campus, has drafted one of them, a seventh round selection. I think the Saints drafted a DL from LSU in about the third round a few years back and he didn’t make it past a year or two, no big deal. But before that you have to go back to Devery Henderson to find a LSU player that the Saints invested in, and he had a solid career for Saints.

They need to get over their fear of selecting the “home town heroes”.

He’s still a first rounder. He was almost a mid round guy...safeties rarely jump into the top 5, maybe top 10 at best.

Jamal Adams is the exception that comes to mind and he is a far superior player to Delpit in basically every category.

We are upset because the New Orleans Buckeyes would rather be beaten by a Tiger than draft one! Everyone acknowledges that the Saints two biggest needs are WR, CB and OG. LSU All-SEC players will be available and the Saints will pass on them.

Jefferson earned some money this week. His 40 time was a surprise to many.

What made Queen jump up to 1st round? His 40 time certainly wasn't great. Unless his 2nd run was much better, which I didn't see.

Why are people surprised or shocked that LSU could have 6 first rounders? when bama has like 6 as well that didnt seem to do much in big games. Always amazes me bama gets so many in the early rounds only to have many flame out.

They really aren’t flaming out at the same rate.

If he gets taken in the first round like he's still projected, I don't see where his stock has plummeted.

yeah, Bama players were always overrated come draft time because of their success. A lot of them would get picked in the first round and didn't live up to expectations. I don't think this will happen with these LSU players coming out, but I could be wrong.

La’el Collins- 1st rd projected that went undrafted. (Only bc of murder investigation)
Trev Faulk- Expected to be drafted somewhere in the first 3 rounds but went undrafted if I remember correctly. His 40 time being the main culprit I think.

Lot’s of other examples like Jevan Snead at Ole Miss.
