I was taught that opening and closing the frigerater several times a day doesnt allow the cold air to stay trapped in like they are designed to do. A well built frigerater stays ice cold even with the door open, however, like with most things these days, frigeraters arent built like they used to. So i understand why people are struggling to keep there food fresh if they come from the good ole days like me where you didnt even have to close it to keep it cold, and in fact opening and closing would spoil food faster
