Naming the court after a coach with zero titles was embarrassing to begin with

It was pure Louisiana political bull shite.

Dale Brown lost me trying to sabotage Will Wade’s program. Of course as we found out, Wade could do a great job sabotaging his program by himself.

But no, Dale Brown’s name should never have been attached to that court.

Is there anything concrete behind this take on dale?

I’m neither a big fan or critic but still appreciate him being the only guy who made LSU a consistent winner over 100 years. My grandfather hated him along with that generation, but I’d kill for that consistency. It’s what made pear so amazing, even if he underachieved at times. I think he’d have won big if the investigations wouldn’t have blocked him from hiring actual assistants and not bag men

I love to tell people a Fun Fact that we never got past the second round with Shaq at LSU and their eyes blow up.

Graduated after 6 years in 83, I know. Dale's team's were talented,lots of fun to watch and won a lot of games but always underachieved in the ncaa tournament. Great recruiter and motivator but less than average game time coach in the ncaa tournament.

Everyone shitting on Dale Brown but not one poster has told me what Sue Gunter has accomplished?

Oh come on, at least his teams regularly made the NCAA tourney. These days we can't even hold out an ounce of hope for an outside chance at an NIT bid.

Without Brown there would be no "Shaq". Nor Chris Jackson.
If you want to compare, what LSU basketball prior to Brown. Its like LSU baseball prior to Bertman.
Brown has his flaws and he stayed past his time. But damn, before Dale Brown LSU basketball was nothing.
