"The Rag", a flag that was half green & blue & half purple & gold. When I was at LSU in the 60's, it hung at the bottom floor of the Union. Seems to me that the Greenies couldn't win it on the field, so they stole it one year & no one cared to try to get it back. But that was a long time ago.

Yep - when we won. Tulane called it something else when they won. Crazy to look back at the Tulane paridy and some decades of dominance in the first 50 years.

When I was a kid I had a T-Shirt of a tiger pissing in a lake and it said “how the green wave was made”

That’s what I think of the rivalry

There was also a tradition long ago that the captain of the losing team gave up their jersey to be shredded by the victors.
