All I know is that my grandpa, ( who was the baddest middle linebacker to even come out of the Washington Parishes, 4 time all state) has a gold coin that celebrated 25 straight years of LSU victories over Tulane in the 70s

I wonder if Tulane regrets leaving the SEC

Interesting stat Tulane has more sec titles than Miss. St., Kentucky, SC, Ark, Vandy, Missouri? And the Aggies of course 4 of those teams aren’t charter members

A popular tradition was for a losing fan to push a winning fan around in a wheelbarrow after the game. The New Orleans newspapers used to publish pictures of the fans in wheelbarrows paying off their bets.

I miss the game with Tulane. When it was in the Superdome, we’d get a room in the FQ and the atmosphere was like the Sugar Bowl. Tulane tried their best to steer LSU recruits in NO away from LSU with negative recruiting. I’m glad we “won” the rivalry but now we don’t have a rival and it’s kind of sad.
