I went back and watched that missouri game again and Myles made some unreal throws. Throws that we havent had a qb make since russell.

Some throws joe wasnt even able to make.if he has protection he will tear it up.strong arm isnt everything ,look at joe who's arm was average, but it sure looks damn good when you need it and he had it in that game no doubt. One was 40 yards on a line. It was russell or Davy looking.

It's easy to go back and watch on youtube. He played way better than we remember, I think.we lost but not because of him .also ,the 3rd down issues were play calls that had routes going short of the sticks.

Myles moved fine last year,I'm just hoping hes still the same as before he gained weight

I remember being constantly infuriated by this. The number of times we completed something like a 6 yard pass on 3rd and 8 was ridiculous. I mean, I get it if it’s a slant and you’re just trying to get them in space quickly for yards after the catch. But some of these were straight up out routes or curls short of the sticks.

I don’t know if it’s all on the play calls, or if the receivers are supposed to adjust to the sticks on some of those routes. But that can’t happen.

Ah, I recall the pundits saying the same thing about that 2019 Championship Offensive Line.

thats literally my point you clown. How many times did Burrow escape the rush and make a big play out of it, Myles can't do that, Max can

Plus the red zone offense was a joke with Myles at the helm

Myles had TD passes of 37 yds, 33 yds, 28 yds, 51 yds, 29 yds, 25 yds, and 75 yds in only 3 games

I'm thinking the red zone isnt going to be the defenses biggest concern against Myles

Max only had 4 TDs outside the red zone in 5 games: 75 yds, 34 yds, 32 yds, and 45 yds

Agree. Hines was getting worked as well close to the goal line. Hines and Deculus are slow off the snap. The right side of the line needs some change.

Max played without Marshall, Gilbert and had subs in the O line.

With you here. OP showed his arse.

we need the threat of a QB pull on the zone read so we can get our running game going.

Why?

Because Joe Burrow. You have to be able to run. My only knock against Myles--he's a statue. And in today's game, you can't be.

I don't understand why this lie gets repeated. He didn't, and that's okay to admit. Everything else you said is mostly true...we don't need to embellish it by making stuff up.

Rushing--Myles: 17/-36, Max: 54/119/2

You can't point to Myles' stats as a reason he should start and then say he "moved fine."

Why is it considered a defending a kid who played really well before getting hurt? It’s not like we’re talking about Brandin Harris or Jordan Jefferson or Andrew Hatch. We’re talking about guy that was playing lights out and just didn’t have a defense to support him.

That said, can you recall what LSU has done with the last 3 starting QBs who were 5th year seniors?

I record every LSU football game. After the season I like re watching the games to see who played well and who didn't. Somehow not only on this site but other LSU football sites Deculus became a scapegoat. While watching the replays I paid sole attention to Deculus this year because I didn't understand why he was being picked on. Deculus not only is our starting right tackle but the best tackle we have. YES now and then Deculus gets beat. You guys actually think that any tackle at any SEC school isn't going to get beat now and then? We are talking the SEC and the SEC west the conference with the biggest and most athletic defensive lineman in college football. You know the conference that's sends more defensive lineman especially defensive ends to the NFL than any other conference.

Everyone is wrong about Deculus. He has started at right tackle for 3 years and will start again for a fourth year. Is that a coincidence or a type O? Is our whole coaching staff so stupid and bad that they can't see what the "fans" see that Deculus sucks? Deculus is our starter because he is that good. In 4 years no one has beat out Deculus at right tackle. Why is that? If you believe he sucks yet he continues to start than you must think Cregg sucks and even worse than that O is so stupid and bad as a coach he can't see that Cregg sucks. And don't give me that our offensive line is so bad that even Deculus can be our starter or because Burrow was so good at scrambling he made our offensive line look good. Cregg and that offensive line won the Joe Moore award for the finest offensive line in college football in 2019 and oh with Deculus as the starting right tackle.

If anything sucks in your post it's you. You don't have a clue about football. There is a book on football called Football for Idiots you might want to get yourself a copy.

Umm ... i kinda thought our O line had a chance to be a strength not a weakness.

Your autobiography.

The o line stunk last season. If you think it didn't, then you didn't watch the games. Pathetic post is pathetic post.

I’ve been saying this since the missle of the 2018 season. Deculus showed obvious high level SEC talent that year. He was having trouble with quick pass rushers. Other than that he was crushing it.

I expected him to improve his pass blocking for 2019 and become a good right tackle, and I was not disappointed. Deculus had a solid year. He is a rock at the right tackle position.

Deculus’ weakness is his quickness. That won’t get fixed, and I think it will prevent him from making big dollars in the NFL. But I expect him to make rosters and earn an NFL pension.

Myles defenders

LSU has an actual legitimate QB competition with multiple experienced guys that are really talented and not just taking the lesser of the two evils like they have done so many times in the past. Yet LSU fans just want to choose sides instead of just letting it play out knowing the guy who wins is the going to be really good.

Myles- 1-2 against three terrible teams in the SEC

Johnson- 2-0 against the SEC East Champ and a bowl eligible (winner) team from the SECW.

If you are about results, Johnson is the clear winner.
I agree almost But our defense had upgraded to pathetic at the end. They were worse early in the year

Everything with your post is what’s wrong with this forum.

“Myles Defenders” is a stupid, divisive way to start a conversation

What did Myles do wrong? He doesn’t need defenders in the fanbase, he needs supporters. If he doesn’t play well because the offensive line can’t block, and plays anyway, it’s on the coaches.

Btw, this goes for all of the young men on our team.
