Max played decent, anyone that says otherwise... doesn't know football. I would say C+/B- easy. (Looked good for third start)

He's a lot better than the UCLA QB.

Michael Vick couldn’t have succeeded with our O-line performance last night.

Max didn’t look particularly great though. That twenty yard, no-look behind-the-back prayer he threw up was terrible.

How does the no look factor into that rating…not at all…no look rates him as a D at best for the whole contest…

He played terrible. When you have an offense designed around a QB he has to play well. Could not sustain drives. Running game was aweful - worst I have ever seen.

This is not all on OL. The QB has a lot to do with pass protection and getting the ball out. Burrow took Munoz to NYC for the Heisman ceremony for the close work he did with him every week on pass protection. He said he worked all day on Wed's on just pass protection.

Problem with this is that I would be shocked if he had the freedom to operate the offense that Burrow had. Burrow was a coach on the field.

Wouldn't surprise me if they told Max not to go for the runs as often due to the qb situation, he looked way too hesitant compared to the Florida/OM games last year

I hope Max will shake the jitters off and play better for the rest of the season. He missed on some throws that would have changed the game. When pressured he made some bad decisions. The interception and the terrible behind the back pass was the worst decision I’ve seen in a while. Got to protect the football.

He grade D+/C- grade. That backwards pass cost him a letter grade. They did not have much in the way of max protect. But a lot was on our play caller. They where giving LSU wr a 10 yard cushion and they keep trying to go deep. Just take the 5 yard pitch and catch. I was frustrated watching the calls. That was terrible.

*laughs in back pedaling into pressure and horrendous mechanics*

I don't think Max is done for his career, but he very much looked like a sophomore in his third or fourth start. That hit he took on the deep Boutte shot really shook him for a while.

Well, obviously that's not what you want to see.

If you look at how he played, he did decent... to me for his third start with no real help. It was above decent.

He's miles better than the UCLA QB. LSU's problems wasn't at QB.

Yes it is. OL is utter garbage. We rushed for 20 yards and couldn’t pass block. You don’t know football

That QB hit some wide open players. Something Max struggled with a few times.

The guy complete 3 passes to wide receivers and threw an INT. The rest was passing to wide open TE/RBs... I could have thrown those passes.

He is multiple steps better than that guy.

He absolutely was part of the problem. He missed on numerous throws that could have resulted in First downs, TD and big gains.

Even when the OL held up, he ran backwards out of the pocket and threw off his back door.

He was scared all night and it cost us the game as much as anything
