Desperate move, at a time when there was no hope to win, by an inexperienced young player. No way do I think it was the right move, but wasn't LSU #10 the closest one to the ball? What if he had caught it, and a big positive play resulted...what would you think then? Lighten up on the kid, or are one of those upset because Finley was replaced.

It works both ways. If he had completed passes he threw into the dirt, it would have forced the defense to drop back into coverage. Since he was missing most of those they continued to hug the line.

People keep saying this but it may not be true.
The o line was terrible no doubt, but Max also held the ball way too long.
Myles has a quick trigger and is much more accurate than Max. He may have been able to avoid some of the hits by throwing sooner.

A qb that is Manzel type would have had a chance to win and tire those def linemen. It adds another dimention that would have slowed the rush down
