Best of luck to Myles, he is a true Tiger and always will be.

As to who is the starter, I have to trust the coaches are going to give us the best chance to be successful with the team we have this year....at least until the coaches prove they can't be trusted :)

Thanks for your effort to make LSU a better football program, Myles, and good luck in your future endeavors.

ok, but I just want to be clear: you're saying one of our current players entering the transfer portal is still a "true Tiger."

I just want to know the ground rules.

I hate the fact that he was in the portal and BK talked him into staying...seems like leaving may have been his best bet to play.

That said, everyone's career is going to end one day. If he's content, then there's nothing to do but be happy for him.

I see. So every person that is not starting walks away, is that correct?

I’m sorry I fail to see why being too good is a worse thing that being not good.

Very sad to hear. Would love to have seen him make a comeback. Best wishes and God speed to him.

I love Myles Brennan and I feel his pain being a former football player myself, but I wish he would have stuck it out. I feel his decision was just too rash, I mean just like Finley last year, they don't realize injuries happen or the QB that is named the starter just doesn't measure up when the season starts. The opportunity is still there, I realize he's hurt right now, but man stick it out, stay the course. Best of luck to the young man!

Good luck to the man. He gave it a good shot at LSU; it just did not work out.

I think he should stick it out. What else does he have to do for the next four months that he can't begin in the new year?

What’s the benefit of quitting football instead of sticking it out as a backup for 4 months? 4 months isn’t a long time.

Talked to a friend who's worked in the athletic department of a couple of SEC schools and one Conference USA. He said that in his experience, the 6 year guys...it doesn't take much for them to lose interest. Not getting the starting job (the only reason he came back) would definitely be that. At that point, they just want to get on with their lives.

He just wants to start his life. I can understand not wanting to sit on the bench for the year. He wasn’t feeling it. You could tell in the summer when he wasn’t putting in work like the other guys

I get that, but you’ve got the rest of your life to live the rest of your life. Again, 4 more months is nothing.
