This is a whole other issue. Not even comparable to leaving for another team, or sitting out of a bowl game for fear of injury that would impact draft status.

What’s different exactly except those other guys you mention have actually contributed to LSUs on field success during their time at the school?

He quit right before the season. That’s what they gave Jamaar so much shite for. Apple, meet Apple.

Even if it's not pay to play I wonder since he is no longer with the team if there is an out that protects those who signed NIL deals with him.

By definition that would be pay to play.

It’s funny you describe it as “waiting for his shot”. When he had his shot.
Brennan's shot was spring 2018. His only competition was McMillian and Narcisse, and there was a ton of offensive talent on the roster in 2018.

But he couldn't get it done (and neither could McMillian and Narcisse), so O had to go get a transfer.

The stars were aligned for Brennan in the spring of 2018.

Obviously, he couldn’t take it. He was beat out every year. I meant he stayed around (hopefully) working to grab the reigns the next season. Or, he coasted and it never fell in his lap. Either way, he wasn’t one that transferred out the first or even second time he got passed up so I don’t consider him a quitter.

I don’t expect people to praise him but see no reason to shite on him either. He showed up out of shape and unable to compete for the starter position. He obviously didn’t want it. So, best of luck to him and Next up.

Let's all hope he was clearly beaten out. Now we live or die with Daniel's. So does coach Kelly.

I don’t either. I just find the duality of the reactions hilariously contradictory for people. Especially when you follow that up with stuff like this:

Isn’t this what we crush every player who transfers, declares, or decommits? Except without the “good for you” context and instead is a “frick you you frickin scumbag” kind of context. It’s so weird

Did you forget that Nuss exists or what

ETA and no, Kelly does not “live or die” on a QB decision for his first season in a rebuilding year

When you are giving the ball back to the other team that much they are going to score more points, they wouldnt score 44 if Burrow was the QB even with our terrible defense....and Burrow would have put up more than 34. Did the offense even put up 34? Brennan had 3 TD passes and we had no rushing TDs, so did the defense score some points, i have blocked those games from my mind.

0/10 on 3rd down against Missouri, how is that even possible

Yeah so, Myles had nothing to do with allowing Miss St to throw for 623 fricking yards, including their last 3 drives, each one over 70 yds, scoring on all 3. Burrow scored 36, a whopping 2 more points, but his D only gave up 17. As for the Mizz game, Myles threw for 430 and 4 tds, with no ints. But I guess it was his fault somehow that the D gave up 586 yds and 45 points. And for that game, LSU offense had no TOs either.

tldr: Myles wasn't perfect in his 3 starts, but he damn well did enough to convincingly win all those games if not for the inept Bo Pelini atrocity of a defense.

I don't know if Myles lost too much in the 2 injuries to be the starter or not. But you saying "he had 20 years to earn the starter role and didn't" is completely untrue and disrespectful.

Hate it for him, he was a true Tiger. Any real LSU fan should wish Myles nothing but the best in his future but unfortunately we have a lot of sorry fricks that obviously hate their own lives so they will shite on the guy and call him a quitter.

Yeah they did. Gave up over 40 ppg in 5 of the 10 games played in 2020. In comparison, LSU gave up 40 in only one game in 2019. 2020 had only two games that LSU gave less up than 21 pts., Vandy and aTm.

in 2020, Myles played in only 3 games and still ended the season as the leading passer in yardage, TDs and QBE. Nevertheless, good luck Mylo!

He's a hero in my book. I admire his honesty and courage, most of all his loyalty to LSU. We can stand a few like him.

loyalty? Yes, he's been here a long time, but you do realize he entered the transfer portal last December, right?

Also he literally quit the team today because he found out he isn't going to be able to play as much as he wanted to.

He's not a 6 year player, he is a 4 year player who was somewhat associated with LSU in 2021 and 2022 but bailed on the team both years.
