You must be a Les Miles fan boy! If Etling can hit wide open WRs down field we are in a 1 score game at minimum.

If the PP7 interception is confirmed
If we don’t give up that long screen pass
If chavis’ defense didn’t suck
If we had a better qb

All excuses for Les just like bad qb play was an excuse for O tonight. We aren’t any closer to beating them regardless of what moral victory you want to claim.

I would like to see Narcisse get an honest shot. He might be the answer. But only if he can pass too and not just run. We went through that with Jennings and Harris.

I am crossing my fingers on Brennan. I hope he's as accurate as I've heard.

It drives me crazy that people talk shite on this team.

They did everything they could and tried their hardest. Alabama is just on another level this year, which is fine. We are young and will do nothing but improve

The gap is the same as it was before.

Although they did lose by double digits, the gaps between the two teams were not there tonight. LSU didn't get 100 yards rushing in their last two games over there combined. They got 150 tonight and outrushed Bama. Bama averaged 3.2 ypc and not one of their players averaged over 4 ypc. That hasn't happened since we beat them in The Game of the Century. LSU was actually the more physical team tonight, but LSU had a costly turnover and numerous missed opportunities on long passes that could have been huge. Better QB play would have given LSU a victory tonight.

We’ve had port qb play for a while. How do we think that improves without actually playing our future qb?

IKR.. break him in now or wait until next season?? We are playing freaking Arkansas who is starting Kelley I think? I’d love to see Brennan get a full game.

The difference in the game was the pick and the poor passes, etc., in the passing game. Other than that, LSU was completely on their level and then some tonight. It's not even about a moral victory because a loss is a loss, but when players give 110% and leave it all on the field, it's hard to criticize that. Even on that last offensive drive for Bama, Rashard Lawrence was jumping around clapping and getting the line fired up so Bama wouldn't punch it end at the end.

Hopefully Narcisse is the starter next year. Brennan looks like an Etling clone.
You have no clue what you're talking about.

Brennan is a more accurate passer and has a quicker release. (He still needs to gain another 15-20 pounds in the off-season)

Narcisse has to develop accuracy and touch on his passes or he'll not see the field much.

Oh BTW, some Admins just sent me a PM asking WTF a MA is. I've been using that term for several years on here to denote a "Mediocrity Acceptor."............

Still haven't scored more than 20 points since 2010. The gap is the same as it was before. LSU is a mediocre program right now and it isn't bright with Orgeron at the helm.
I agree with this. 10 points and a 2 td loss is no better than what Less could do.

Still don’t have QB play to beat them. If Patterson is on this team, it’s an easy win. Pretty simple.

Defense was on its toes in the fourth quarter. They were all business and not intimidated at all. Have not seen this in years past. I hope I see it the rest of the season. I think team is on the right trajectory.

Don’t worry if Brennan starts next year Narcisse will be the backup. So by default he will be the best on the roster. History speaks to this. I personally think Narcisse gives LSU the best chance to be successful. Just wanna get it out there early so I’m not lumped in with the fans calling for the backup next year.

Then you don’t know what you were watching. So you are ok with etling missing wide open receivers at all 3 levels???? Go back and rewatch game ansnwe listen how many Mfing times danielson says there was a guy wide open. It’s shameful.

All I saw all week were emotional posts about how we were "ridin" and gonna win. Now people are surprised and butt hurt that we lost to a team that signs a #1 or 2 class every year the past 8 years?

I saw a great gameplan that was executed very well given our limitations at qb and youth. We sustained drives that kept the D fresh. We had an unfortunate penalty that negated a great punt return that kept us from flipping field position. Bama kept the field position won almost all night, and no one is gonna score much when you need between 70-90 yds to go.

We had opportunities but couldn't complete some chances. My biggest disappointment overall was the pass call at the goal line to a short side of the field w one receiver. Poor throw, and I hated the formation combo w the call.

Nevertheless, I felt like if we could have caught a break (INT, Fumble, punt return) we could have possibly pulled an upset on the road at night. I mean, anyone who watched that game knew it was closer than the score showed and we were just a big play away from it being a nail biter all game.

I loved the effort, gameplans and generally the execution.

Anyone who wants to moan about the way LSU played last night needs to turn in their fan card. For frick's sake Oh St got run out of the stadium by Iowa in week 9!

O will recruit, and if Canada has Etling performing to the max of his abilities (which the stats all year say he is), then our offense will be very solid with him coaching with more talent.
