No, keep your money. There's no desire to play the TSAB.

If we had an elite coach we could start the year with a big game and not have to worry about the team not being prepared

The networks won’t pay the big bucks for this like they do for the marquis games.

Don’t take the good competition off the table. However, why every year? Put a Louisiana opener in the super dome and rotate lsu, ull, tech, Tulane, etc as hosts.

How about do this as a day/night doubleheader like they used to do in the 70’s?

I don 't think the Hawaii rule is enforced anymore. There is no way all of those teams who played on Week 0 either play Hawaii or play someone who does.

FSU/GT - International game
Montana St/New Mexico - NM plays @ Hawaii 11/30
SMU/Nevada - Nevada plays @ Hawaii 10/26
Delaware St/Hawaii - Hawaii plays @ Hawaii multiple times

The nation is not going to tune in for/make an event of a week zero tune up game for LSU.

Want an event? Neutral site game against a real program.

Oh wait…they’re already doing that.

Better yet , have the same name but have a rotating group of teams that include scotlanville , Zachary , Baker, and McKinley .

Why not just renew the rivalry game with Tulane week 0 or 1?

Yes there is, only teams who play at Hawaii get to have a week 0 game. I know we aren't going to Hawaii so it would have to be one of the other schools.

Also, if it is Tiger Stadium we have to use the SEC TV contract instead of setting it up like a kickoff classic where we get to negotiate a TV deal. Either that or consider it a "neutral site" game and sell half the tickets to the other team. That's why, for all of Joe Alleva's shortcomings, he said we make more money on a neutral site game than a home game.

funny how we never complained about big OOC opening games during the Miles years. But we won all of those, except 1.

Even the idiot Miles had his teams ready for big week 1 games. This board's desire to do away with big week 1 matchups is pathetic.

An elite program would be properly prepared to win those games.

Rotate a different FBS Louisiana school into a week 0 game every four years at Tiger Stadium. ULL, La Tech, Tulane and ULM.

I would even say that it could rotate locations a bit. Nola, BR, Shreveport, and Monroe could all host. Maybe even spill into Mississippi or Texas every now and then to capture a different market.

I am not saying we should play ULM in Monroe but playing McNeese in Monroe or playing Grambling in Shreveport would be cool. Maybe turn it into a whole weekend thing and have ULM vs Mcneese on Friday, LSU vs ULL on Saturday, and Tulane vs Southern on Sunday or something like that.

I'd argue that outside of Oregon, we only played mid tier P5 teams. UNC, Wisky, BYU, Washington, TCU. None of these teams were really on LSU's level as far as recruiting and resources. We also didn't play them every year.
