You do realize that this campaign is to fund the the 8 institutions in the LSU system and it is targeted and improving what the university was established for - educating students - as well as capital projects. The athletic program is funded the TAF, corporate sponsors and TV contracts. I'm not sure what anybody thibnks they will accomplish by not contributing to the new fundraising campaign for the school. It should aslo be noted that the campaign is planned to last for 6 years so as much as someboy might be pissed of at Joe Alleva in 2019, this campaign will still be going on in 2025.

You don’t get it. You are arguing your point in a circle. What I’m trying to accomplish is the removal of FKA. I said that in my very first post, which you replied to. It’s not just about athletics. If you want to donate, go right ahead. Are you donating? Have you? Put your money where your mouth is. I’m absolutely not donatating until FKA is gone. No argument will change my mind.

Some student worker whose stipend likely depends on donations will get to throw this letter in the trash or delete the email.

Well, the board should realize that FKA has caused so much distrust amongst the alumni and donating base that he needs to be removed or this poor student worker may not have a job next semester.

My displeasure has a minor foundation in the current leadership of the Athletic Department, but most of my frustration stems from what I perceive as poor leadership on FKA’s part.

I very much disliked how he went to the legislature and played politics for more taxes despite having an increase in operating budget from the previous year.

I don’t like the path with which LSU is headed in regards to the safe spaces and coddling of the students, and see the staffing up of these bureaucracies as historically poor wastes of funds that could go to better supporting departments that aren’t historical donation generators (hire 3 English professors instead of one diversity coordinator at over $300k per year)

Here’s the translation of what your letter implies:

Dear LSU,

frick your classrooms, labs, libraries, buildings, teachers, and students. I equate sports with academic success, and if I don’t personally approve of the coaches we hire and the actions of our athletic department, I’m going to punish everything else that has nothing to do with athletics. Even if it means denigrating the value of my LSU degree.

Don’t worry, though, my TAF monetary contribution is in the mail.

Dear LSU, try to "make by" on the $900 million dollars garnered through tuition and other phantom charges.

Why can’t you people see that people are upset with the leadership of FKA about more thungs than sports?

Because they need safe spaces to be coddled in

A 10 win season hasn’t put anything to rest. Are we settling for participation trophies now, or do we want to be a championship program?

Sure it has. What we want and what we can reasonably expect are two different things. The expectations in 2018 where we were predicrted to go 7-5 / 6-6 were significantly less than what they were just 2 years earlier when we were a preseason Top 5. Exceeding expectations buys time. As long as we are making progress towards what we want, that is generally enough for most reasonable fans.

While I can't say I disagree with the position you are taking, please rewrite your letter using proper grammar and punctuation.

Frankly, LSU is in worse shape than I thought, if its graduates do not have the ability to write a gramatically correct, simple letter.

You have multiple grammatical or punctuation errors in your scathing grammatical and punctuation critique, sir.

I sent a similar letter directly to Alexander and was sent a reply about what he could do to make it better.
That's actually a surprising response in that it's what I would expect from a good leader

Sorry, punctuation not working on phone

I sent my reply and didn’t get anything back nor have I’ve seen changes. With that said, if you think about it, Alleva has Alexander by the balls because he knows way too much about all sports that have compliance issues...

He did the right thing and expressed his opinion. I wouldn’t donate either as long as them two whack jobs are at LSU.
