outside of my starters and bench here are my next 8 and honestly could easily be swapped out for other bench players, it is hard to pick.
Garrett Temple
Ricky Blanton
Hi-C Carter
Stanley Roberts
John Williams
Randy Livingston

Everyone of these players is interchangeable with others selected. How could either of us leave off Ronald Dupree?
I began following LSU prior to Maravich and could make an argument for Dick Maile who played around 1961 and 1962. Our former AD Joe Dean made a little string music for the Tigers along with Bob Petit.

Oh yeah, but LSU basketball has no history.
History of good players who didn’t win much.

Might want to do some research and compare it to the rest of the SEC, you might be surprised.

What about Clarence Caesar or Ronnie Henderson?

Waters nowhere near top 10.
Waters was the best pure PG since Jackson.
He almost single-handedly (I guess along with Reath) gave the 2018 team a fighting chance. That was not a talented team, at all. In the next season he was 1st team all SEC and the defensive POY..at 5'10
Ronnie Henderson wasn't a PG. Randy Livingston's injury kept him from fulfilling his massive potential. Torris Bright was a SG forced to play PG in Brady's awful offenses. Garrett Temple was a SF who took the role of "PG" but really wasn't one.
Top 10 player overall at any position? Maybe not. But if you had to have a pure PG there weren't that many better than Waters

John Williams needs to be on the bench. He was one of the best small forwards at LSU.

According to grok, UCLA had four: Kareem, Reggie Miller, Bill Walton and Gail Goodrich and North Carolina had three: Billy Cunningham, Michael Jordan, James Worthy.
AI garbage as usual. Reggie wasn't on the 50 year team and Goodrich isn't on any of them. UNC did have 3.

No Stanley Roberts? Also, DeWayne Scales, Don Redden, and Howard Carter probably need to replace 3 of the guys you have.
I'd probably cut Naz Reid, Cam Thomas, and Tyrus Thomas.
In an alternate reality where he was never injured, I'd include Randy Livingston as a big PG.
I may be tempted to add Jerry Reynolds, too. That guy played multiple positions and had a nice NBA career.

The inevitable a-hole makes his appearance, thinking he is so fricking original , taking a shite on a young man who busted his arse for LSU and has a Final Four ring. Shame on you, fricking a-hole.
Shutup Ben.
Under no circumstance should LSU be giving scholarships to 6 foot average white dudes from fricking Oregon. We could have gone to the LSU rec and found a walk on who was better than him and had TOPS and didn't need a scholarship.

Reggie Miller and Gail Goodrich didn't make the NBA 50th anniversary team, but Elvin Hayes, Clyde Drexler and Hakeem did and they all went to Houston.
