do you know if the family was talking about filing a lawsuit? do you know if the family is telling the truth? and got damn...he contacted him for 3 months, eventually you have to move on.

If the story is true, and the timeline is correct, does it not seem incredibly callous for a leader of young men to cut off contact entirely with a player who suffered a debilitating brain injury, after 3 months?

I think that it would be a lot harder to take this seriously if Kelly didn’t have a reputation for being relatively aloof and distant with his recruits and players.

wtf are you talking about? vertigo is typical of all those symptoms...you dont just go get an mri on the brain immediately for everyone that comes in. those of yall criticizing LSU in this case are ignorant AF on how things like this are handled and in the end wouldnt have changed anything other than he could have chose a different doctor we already went over all of this when this came out the first time.

I don’t know the truth regarding this case.

But a lot of people cannot accept that bad shite happens without anyone being at fault.

Even If nobody is at fault, I pray that someone willing and able can help make Brooks and his family as comfortable as possible. He’s one of us.

According to the video the family didn’t file a lawsuit until a full year after the coaching staff last made contact with them.

Let’s see if they can substantiate that claim.

Agreed. I have no reason to believe that they are lying, but I guess time will tell. It should be a pretty easy thing to prove/disprove.

There is no guarantee in surgery, especially a surgery like the one he had. Every brain tumor is different and just because Michael Strahan’s daughter did well, doesn’t mean everyone else will have a similar outcome. Tumor location and difficulty of removing it plays a big factor in post operative stroke risk.

This is the age of NIL and pay for play.

If I have to retire from my job because of a serious medical condition, I don’t expect the CEO of my Company to continue to reach out to me long after I’m no longer with that company

It is my understanding that once anyone is represented by an attorney, parties involved cannot contact other parties.

In almost all letters of representation the attorney notes that the there can be no contact with their client from the defendants except through the attorney. Generally its just a form letter notifying that they are representing the party. If the attorney sent a letter to LSU to inform them that he was representing Brooks, then you better believe LSU told him not to speak to them.

Right.

I think people just need to remember greg is changed for the rest of his life. His dreams of playing in the nfl are over.

He might not ever be a normal walking citizen again. Just think people need to remember that a kid lost his future. I'm not even talking about them suing lsu.

I don't think they have to note it. Once a person is represented, other parties cannot contact the represented person directly.

I have a hard time believing that Brian Kelly gave up on Greg Brooks. There are hundreds of people that Kelly has to deal with only a daily basis. There are so many responsibilities that the coaching staff have to deal with.

When I left college 35 years ago, I had to disconnect from a lot of support staff that supported me during my five years in college. I felt butt hurt about it initially, but in the end the truth was clear. I had to move on with my life.

Brain Kelly had other players and people to integrate into the football program.

I don't think anyone on here can be surprised by the lack of character on BK's part.

That’s sad AF. Prayers to Greg and family. Also a terrible look for BK and LSU.
certainly is- especially bad on BK- he can’t even be bothered to call and check up on his player? Very sad and very bad look for LSU.
