I think, which is really suspect, that he knows Nuss has all the talent, just frustrated at the development. Sometimes that’s the coaches fault, and sometimes it’s not. Joe Borrow was a rare thing, and we are all dreaming that another one like him will walk in the door, but that’s not happening, and here we all are critical of everything less….

Joe B really spoiled us. A coach on the field!

Kelly yelled because Nuss did not go through his progression. He went "One Mississippi" and then slung the ball. I watched the play...he had time to make several looks before throwing. Check, check, throw or go. Mostly nerves and not wanting to make a mistake. Typical of many young QBs who are yet unable to let the game come to them.

Anyone with a brain, knows Nuss deserved to be "coached up" after that play. Anyone who has been around sports knows you want a coach doing that versus not giving a crap about the kid.

People can bring other plays up, dropped passes, JD. It doesn't matter. That individual play, Nuss needed that.

It's not just Saturday. He hasn't looked ready at all in any game really.

I get he hasn't looked ready in 2 of his 3 shots but he went 9/10 for like 130 yards and a TD against New Mexico.

just wondering does BK say the same things to Daniels when he squanders an opportunity?

Not against Nuss hearing it, but JD does as well

eta by reading the 1st page apparently he does
do you watch games? Honest question.

I don't know where y'all came up with this false narrative of BK being woke and going with Daniels for racial issues.

Maybe I am wrong but I have never heard anyone make this argument. The argument for why he plays Daniels is cuz he can run and he doesn't turn the ball over. Thats it.

Unfortunately thats our best opportunity to win. Our defense is good enough to keep us and eventually win most games but only if the offense and special teams don't screw it up.

LOOK IT BOILS DOWN TO THIS!! Daniels is a Senior. He has only played decent against weaker teams when throwing the ball.. Against Miss st he played terrible in the 1st half and used his scrambling agility in the 2nd half. Going 8 for 20 with 80 yards against Auburn in the 5th game of the season is awful. Their is a reason Daniels doesn't have any interception. He doesn't throw the ball more than 15 yards downfield. Keep the racial card out of it. Garrett will have to play against Tenn for us to win the game. If we get down 14 or 17 points , Our defense will not be able to shut Tenn down like Auburn and Miss state. We will have to score by passing and Daniels has shown he cannot do that!!!

I’m not pushing any narrative other than refuting ignorance that Nuss is damaged goods and will never be a serviceable QB. I have nothing against Daniels I’ve even posted in support of him.

I couldn’t stand the angry little fricker at ND. He just seemed like a dickhead. But now he is our dickhead so you know, it’s all good.

CBK spreads the arse chewing around. Daniels has gotten it and Nuss got it Saturday.

What people don't think about is this is probably a continuation of something that is happening in practice and Nuss is not making the necessary correction. Making the same mistakes continuously will get your butt chewed with the quickness.

led our coaches to believe Brennan was behind Daniels and Nuss.

Maybe he was? Dude missed over a year of live football action, and didn't seem 109% committed. Maybe he was that bad

Yes that 8/9 against New Mexico was horrendous

It was New Mexico. How did he do against Southern and Auburn?

He did not know before the Auburn game he would have to play. But it’s the backup’s role to be ready at any minute.

Yea that 8/9 against New Mexico was horrendous. Not saying that means he can hang with Bama but come on.

WHY DO YOU PEOPLE ALWAYS DEFEND THE BACKUP QB? SERIOUSLY? No matter what no matter who QB1 is (aside from Joe in 19) you freaking people just default to the backup QB and defend them.

Stop. It’s completely acceptable to not think LSU’s backup QB sucks. fricking armchair coaches think they know more than our high paid coaching staff.

Nuss could be a head case. Opting out of the bowl game was not a good look. Now Kelly looks like he's had it. He's had his shots and has not impressed.

Spot on! From the outside looking in choosing to not burn a red shirt for the Texas bowl is no big deal but when your new coach is there watching you know it matters.

Kelly was watching all those guys and the effort they gave for that “meaningless” bowl game. If Nuss decided to put the team first and play the game win or lose we all would have appreciated it. He’s been on Kelly’s shite list this ain’t new. It’s all part of the culture revamp that Kelly is doing.

Guys like Nuss and Boutte won’t fit in the new LSU culture. But guys like Nabors, Taylor, Bech, Roy and Emery will thrive. That whole opting out shite is done.

I think BK was pissed that he got rid of the ball when he had time to look downfield
