1) Billy Cannon's return
2) The Hodson pass (it caused the earth to quake for crying out loud)
3) The no look Flynn flip TD

if by spectacular you mean:

spectacular: hair-raising, dramatic, breathtaking.

Peterson's interception/non-interception in 2009 Bama game

Peterson's interception against Miss St. where he jumped over the opposing WR to take it from him.

The fake FG against SC and Steve Spurrier. Just because it was spurrier and seeing him grin after the Les owned him.

These were just spectacular plays and playcalls.

Josh Reed's ridiculous TD catch against Ga Tech in the Peach Bowl. It happened in the back of the end zone and he only got in by a toe!

Halloween run. At least 7-8 missed/broken tackles at the end of a #1 vs. #2 matchup. Chad Jones is in my top 3 favorite LSU player's of all time, but Billy Cannon wins hands down.

I would take the Eddie Kennison return as second, btw.

Saban said Skylar ran the wrong route. Mauck recognized it and threw it to him.

How about 3 spectacular plays in one game:

Tommy Casanova's top individual performance came in a 61-17 rout of Ole Miss in 1970—a victory that wrapped up an Orange Bowl bid for the Tigers. Casanova tied the national record of two punt returns for touchdowns in one game (61 and 74 yards) and LSU equaled the team record of three as Craig Burns also had a 61-yarder. The Tigers also intercepted five passes in a game that was close until Casanova's first punt return touchdown lat in the second quarter. As the score mounted in the second half, long-suffering LSU fans who hadn't seen their team beat the Rebels since 1964 bombarded the field with oranges.

Bert Jones - Andy Hamilton TD pass Ole Miss

Assuming you mean the last second 17-16 victory in 1972, the pass was to Brad Davis, not Andy Hamilton.

True story. I was on an out of town trip during the LSU - Ky. game. Got home about 11 pm. Gave strict instructions to the wife to tape the game and not let me know the score. I can't watch a game if I already know who won.

Went upstairs and put the tape in the VCR, laid down on the floor and watched the whole game using the FF button through the commercials. Gave up at the 30 second mark and turned the TV off. Went downstairs to bed.

Wife said "Well, what do you think?"
Me: "We lost to a bad team."
Wife: "Did you watch the whole game?"
Me: "Yeah...well, not the last few seconds."
Wife: "You might want to do that."

I went back up and watched it.

There is a difference between spectacular and decisive plays. Hester's plunge vs. Flordia certainly wasn't spectacular but (understatement) it made a huge difference in the game. Maybe another list should be made of decisive plays and someone decide if FGs with seconds left on the clock qualify.

Honorable mention

behind Cannon's run; the earthquake catch, & the no look flip for a TD.
