Bauer Sharp fumble leading to a Bama FG

has he done anythng positive this season aside from trying to unsuccessfully jump over every SLU defender?

When you look at Indiana and Vandy, they have shite for talent, but they inexplicably make plays they shouldn’t be making. Winners make plays, and we don’t even though the talent is there.

Vandy's DC, Gregory, is someone I would hire if I was a head coach. That defense is very sound. He has them coached well.

The OL has been far, far, worse than anyone could have imagined. That's not on the QBs

Disagree. There were some mistakes vs bama but the o line gave nussmeier time. He just isn’t very good.

Three significant plays and players on Offense who sabotaged this game for LSU in no particular order:

1. Curne's false starts
2. Green's drops
3. Nussmeier's play

We’ve been on way too many “almost wins” against Bama

It’s time to find a HC that can even this out some

8. Van Buren sliding short of the 1st down & then Curne following up the play with a false start on 4th & 1.

Ripping Nuss down by the collar way out of bounds, and the other typical PP7 BS CALLS! We got on a roll & al D was getting tired so refs decided to review 3 plays in a row? Seriously GAMBLING, NFL, and NCAA Replays to HELP CHEAT EVEN MORE!

The incomplete pass when he should have taken the sack right before half was the killer.
That takes 7 points off the board and a little momentum going into half.
It was a very winnable game and Bama did enough to win.

That's what happens when you're a bad team. Good teams take advantage. Bad ones don't.

The most sickening thing about the last 4-5 years is that Bama has been very beatable damn near every one of those year and we haven’t had the heart, soul, or coaching to get it done except for once!!!

#3 was coaching, they called the play

Yes, but Nuss didn't have to throw it away, he could have taken the sack. Bama had no TO's. But that's what Nuss has been all season, they probably shouldn't have left it in his hands/decision.
You're right!

3. The incomplete pass on 3rd and 11 at our own 19 with a minute left in the half instead of running the clock out since Bama had no timeouts left.
coaching had absolutely to do with this...run the ball and Bama gets the ball with less than 30 seconds...

I agree, Nuss should have known betters but if Nuss would have just had a 10%-15% improvement of what he was last year, we only have one maybe two losses and everyone still has their jobs. But instead, he’s regressed like 40% and people including the coaching staff are still cutting him slack and letting him still walk around like a leader when he’s shown zero leadership ability.

OK, I missed that one. I'm not always perfect.

Except for 4 and 5, coaching had ZERO to do with 1-3 and 6-7 above

I have to disagree. We should 't even be throwing to Sharp. He just hasn't played well. Green dropped one right in his hands later in the game, but he is the clear mismatch problem that we should be throwing to, not Sharp. Sharp has 21 receptions on the year and two of them were fumbled away to the other team.

And not running the ball on 3rd down late in the half was a gigantic mistake by our coaching staff. And then Nuss made an awful decision when given the chance to throw on top of that.

Bama is a bipolar team. Deboer cannot motvate this team; likewise Kelly could not motivate LSU's team. I believe the Bama players saw LSU's record and thought that this is an easy win and played like sh!t. LSU was much more motivated.

Gone are the days where a head coach puts his personality on the team.

How many current LSU players would put up with Miles's "Big Cat drill"? Oklahoma could be winnable but Auburn is going to be a disaster.

I despise this kind of sanctimonious comment.. Why should one team have to play a virtually perfect game when the same standard is not applied to the opponent. Its not whether most of the calls against LSU may have beencorrect its the vast difference in numbers of penalties and the ones not called. For instance the personal foul not called when The LSU runner was flung to the ground several yards out of bounds.

On the long pass that set up the score right before halftime Pyburn had beaten his man and was bearing down on Simpson when the OT who was now behind him grabbed him from behind with no call. This is clearly in the open and not in the middle of a scrum at the line of scrimmage.

How many times do you think a QB's slide was scrutinized as closely as Van Buren's was?

The official standing on the goal line had a clear unobstructed view of the punt that appeared to break teh plane. The ball was between him and the Alabama player and the one replay seemed to show it breaking the plane.

Every one of those crucial calls went one way.

If LSU plays a perfect game and it is close, the SEC officials and replay booth made it clear quickly what was going to happen. Your first clue was Thomas being spun around by the neck a full three seconds after the play was five yards out of bounds and the "ref" staring right at it, but ignoring it. LSU gets called for that 100 out of 10 times if we did that to Bama.

Honestly would have rathered a blowout than to lose with blatant game fixing.
