Spineless AD ????? Alleva was the one holding firm to play the game - Sunday, Monday, etc., and also lobbied for it to be played in BR to not lose income and to not play three road games to end the year. It was the SEC and spineless Florida that screwed this up. I get that you don't like Alleva, but you are putting the arrow in the wrong guy for last year and Florida.

Makes sense the more you think about it.
--A more neutral site game than Houston, so that has to appeal to BYU
--NFL-caliber stadium that also hosts two bowl games and is not being used at all through next weekend
--Easy access for fans

We lost the Florida home game this year with last years fiasco and our spineless AD. A new year, and we still have no spine.
We have no say in this, dipshit. It's all ESPN.

If it's Orlando, I'll be making a stop at Islands of Adventure to ride the Hulk. That I can promise y'all.

No matter if Orlando, Nashville, or Jax, wouldn't you expect TAF or Alumni Assoc. to put some travel packages together?
They did for AZ State in 2005.

LSU fans can't fly to Orlando?
Driving 4 hours to Houston and buying a flight to Orlando are two different things.
That's a 10 hour car ride. And arguably the furthest place they could pick for both teams.

I'm sorry, I don't have money falling out of my pockets.

It should be in a location that either BYU or LSU can travel to. It will be fricking empty.
Okay. Lets say its your call. All things being equal, where would you stage it today with minimal travel risk, minimal weather concern and an area where at least one side's fans can get 30,000?

LSU fans can easily make it to Orlando. There are cheap direct flights there and hotels there are plentiful. I don't see the problem.
There are cheap direct flights for the first couple thousand people to buy them. Then everybody else is stuck.

I like to bash alleva as much as the next guy, but he has no say in this.
And frankly I don't give a shite where this game is played, I'm not going to complain. Let's just play it and stop bitching. Some of you need to take a little reality from the situation in Houston.

We have one less home game this year because of the bullshite pulled last year. Now, our neutral site game is moved to a location that not everyone can get to last minute. Its bullshite.
You'd think seeing South Texas turn into a lake would put things in perspective for everyone. Get your priorities straight. Many of the people that would have gone to the game are evacuated and will probably be spending the coming weeks picking up the pieces.
At least the game will be played. Wherever that may be, at least it can serve as a temporary distraction from all of the devistation and heart ache.

Plenty of hotels there and most airlines you can exchange your Houston flights for Orlando. Plus there's even less Mormons/BYU Alums in Orlando so it'll be 65-70% LSU
Not sure I see the problem

I'm with you, I just want it played, which it will be.
If it's NOLA or somewhere closer to home I'm going to make the trip. If it's in Orlando/Phoenix I'll just watch it on TV. No harm there.

I'm just glad the game will be played.
Yes, I would have traveled to NOLA had it been in the dome, but with the rain and skies around BR this morning, it portends ominously for the BR-NOLA corridor this week.
So I'm glad they are determined to play the game and I'll watch it on TV. First thoughts are still with those whose lives have been upended and football is the last thing on their minds.
At least most of us can still give priority to a football game.

Better be a night game if in orlando. Will be like playing on the surface of the sun if not.

Can't be in Provo. They have a contract that is going to make them have it at a neutral site. Both of them will make millions off of the game.
