And, unfortunately, the only thing separating #1 and #2 happened on 1/9/2012.
Thank the BCS and Leslie Miles for that

I think it says a lot about the football power of LSU that our three were with three different coaches.
Without Saban, how many would Alabama have? Without Dabo, how many would Clemson have?

I’ve wondered if Les would still be coaching here if he would’ve won that night

Oh and USC is tied with Ohio State and Florida because of 2003 and 2004.
The AP poll counted as a national championship at that time.

But everybody says we’re a one-hit wonder.

WE SHOULD BE 4-4 WITH BAMA. NO WAY SHOULD THEY HAVE BEEN LET INTO THE 2011 NC GAME

That's a pretty dumb statement. Not sure why you're trying to discount their success just because they found a coach that won them multiple championships.

That and if Tyrann Mathieu doesn't get kicked off the team we might win it all in 2012 too.

This makes 2011 sting all over again. The way Les planned for and played that game is still inexcusable. What a disgrace that was.

No it did not. EVERY coach and AD agreed at the outset that the BCS determined the national championship. Stop letting the media control your brain. Also, usc was stripped of their 2004 championship so they actually have ZERO this century.

Bingo nostradamus, every word of your post is gospel.

And this my friends is a rivalry at the highest level

2011, LSU had an elite team without a QB or a strong offensive scheme. Studwa was offensive coordinator and Les made no adjustments to get that title.

wrong clearly states that it is BCS which was the agreed upon title. so no the AP was not

The BCS carried the Coaches Poll and nothing else. The AP Poll had no such agreement with the BCS for crowning a national champion.
Like it or not, USC was the co-national champion that year, and that’s what the NCAA record books show.
