Bianco doesn't play football.

This is probably a good indication that Derrick Davis is going to be really good.

Haha, good point. Now that you mention it, it looks like he could.

Well he looked terrible on the football field last year so not sure how much we’ll miss him tbh

I’m confused as to the timing on this.

I assume he’s done with baseball for the season now but he obviously can’t transfer and enroll at another school tomorrow. He’s going to miss out on a full season of baseball and a spring practice of football.

So he starts with the new football team in the summer and then picks up with the new baseball team in the spring having missed out on an entire season the year before when he was already behind due to football.

Maybe he’s going to plan on sticking to one sport?

What’s the rules on players singing with an MLB and an UDFA?

I know he’s only a Sophomore so he’s not draft eligible but if he’s not enrolled in school anywhere could he sign a FA contract before the draft or even after?

If he could sign one immediately and an MLB team was willing to let him play football in exchange for getting him at the $25,000 limit on UDFA I could see this being beneficial for him in making sure he has something to fall back on.

Again. I don’t know the exact rules. I do know that he turns 21 less than a month after the draft but if he’s not enrolled in school not sure why he couldn’t sign a UDFA contract right?

He likely sees the writing on the wall for both sports at LSU. Not being full time in either is not a good recipe for playing time unless you’re an absolute freak like Bo Jackson.

He could have been the next ZVR if he signed and it didn’t work out

Unless you're once in a lifetime player like Bo Jackson you can play both football and baseball and be great at both, otherwise baseball is tough you really need to pick one and stick to it.
At least Pawl could've used Mo as a pinch runner at times or played him late in an already decided game in the OF. I'm not surprised this happened.

Stop recruiting these kids from Tennessee.

Stay in the boot.
I'll take a 3-4 star kid from the boot over a 5 star Tennessee kid every day!

I know there's a couple every now and then but the talent level in that state is abysmal compared to the state of Louisiana.

To clarify: when I say he’s not good enough, I mean baseball.
Riiight, because Paul Mainieri never plays favorites. Mainieri even used Bianco to pinch run before Hampton.

Hampton should be starting in center field with Gio out.
