Weird, he should go to a smaller school where he can play and start in both sports

he should be starting over Drost? Why?

To be clear, the poster said:
Which, if we’re being truthful, CPM did do.

At least Pawl could've used Mo as a pinch runner at times or played him late in an already decided game in the OF

Hampton should be starting in center field with Gio out.
And not Drost?

Mo has played in 5 games.
2-4 (.500 AVG)
1 double
1 RBI
1 walk
1 strikeout
3 runs scored

He didn't make the trip to UNO last night. This must have been in the works for a bit. ETA: I misread Jaqcues' Tweet. I was at UNO.
I kinda understand him feeling like he should have gotten a look before Drost and Sanford (who started vs ULL). Hell, Drost was looking so bad vs LHP, it would have been a good time to see Hampton vs LHP starters.

Also, the only two position players who have few appearances are Gio (injured) and Hellmers (at 3B) who each have 2. He was next lowest with 5. But the next lowest after last night... 9! So there was definitely some issues going on that were keeping him on the bench.

With a few rare exceptions it’s not Bianco versus Hampton.
Did Hampton go through fall ball?

Didn't realize that. Yeah this probably wasn't news to PM then.

Same. With him, I don't really care what he looks like in practice. Give him some playing time in live games and see what happens. Even if its one full game. See what he can do. Hopefully they can work something out before he transfers. Not likely though.

Drost is too slow for center field.

Mainieri even used Bianco to pinch run before Hampton
Bianco may be a better base runner than Hampton. Bianco is not as fast as Hampton but he does have above average speed and there is much more to be a good base runner than speed.

quote:People say things like “he played well in 2019” based on this one play. Name another one that sticks out from that season? He was terrible in limited playing time last season.
Ashame considering the hardest hit I saw Jalen Hurts receive came from him in the playoff game.

quote:over who? Everyone is performing. I wanted Hampton in the lineup as much as anyone else but there’s a reason he was apparently far behind others on the depth chart. Regardless what posters on here want to believe, Paul isn’t going to sit some generational talent just because.

He made some good played behind the line of scrimmage in 2019.

They did last year without a lot of success.

Wasn’t he the first one used as a pinch runner, maybe against AF? he promptly made a terrible error leading to getting thrown at at second.

He did not.
Hampton doesn’t do fall ball and he doesn’t attend spring practice.
It’s easy to see why he is behind other players.
