Break a leg, Mo

I’m ok with this. He couldn’t get on the field last year. Says a lot with a historically bad defense
But he played well in 2019
I think Coaching fricked our safety ply last year. The fact that Hampton and Stevens looks good in 2019 and like fricking trash in 2020 makes me question the coaches.

To go from Sugar to Shizz ... should have taken the money

Guess he was pretty mad about Baseball PT afterall.
His body language when he did play wasn’t great. Seems like he was pissed he got passed over. Paul Mainieri wrecking shop

A lot more kids will be leaving with the upcoming passing of the one-time transfer waiver. He won’t be the last.

He should have chosen one sport, just too difficult to try and play both these days

I’m confused as to the timing on this.
I assume he’s done with baseball for the season now but he obviously can’t transfer and enroll at another school tomorrow. He’s going to miss out on a full season of baseball and a spring practice of football.
So he starts with the new football team in the summer and then picks up with the new baseball team in the spring having missed out on an entire season the year before when he was already behind due to football.
Maybe he’s going to plan on sticking to one sport?

Derrick Davis Jr. SZN but good luck Mo Hampton. Hopefully he figures it out what’s best for him!!!

Fire Paul? You think it’s because he just learned today CPM can’t teach him to hit oppo?

On another note the 2019 defensive class looks pretty fricking rough. Brooks, Hampton, Starks, and Ika all gone.

“I guess he was as offended as us that Bianco kept playing over him.”
Well I’m glad somebody took offense because that move didn’t translate to any actual offense for the baseball team. That’s for damn sure...

A lot of times these kids that play two sports need to decide on one over the other
He is not going to reach his potential in any of them until he does that
I still think his baseball tools could get him drafted higher than football at this point
There is too much talent on the baseball roster for him to get time in the outfield when he missed all of fall ball - the only reason he played last season is because LSU was desperate since the offense was so bad. He got meaningful time until the injury he had which shut him down before COVID did
PM already removed him from the baseball roster
O probably pissed

He'll wind up tearing it up, wherever he goes.

Ashame considering the hardest hit I saw Jalen Hurts receive came from him in the playoff game. He didn't progress though for whatever reason.

Chalk that up to coaching. Last years defense has probably 4 first rounders that were starting.

Pawl’s tinkerin may have gone too far this time.
Man, we have some idiots. Mo Hampton is transferring because he’s not good enough to earn playing time. It’s as simple as that. I don’t blame him for it; I don’t call him a quitter; but the truth is that he’s not good enough yet. Maybe the best thing for him is to go somewhere he can play against less talent, get playing time, so he can improve.
If Paul Mainieri played an inferior player because we wanted to retain him for football we would all complain about THAT.
To clarify: when I say he’s not good enough, I mean baseball. He looks to be a player in football, but I doubt he’s good enough to win a starting job when the others are getting so much more practice time.
