quote:I understand what you are going through and it will get better with time. I got the call that my 89 year old mom passed while they were singing the national anthem before the 2019 NC Championship game. I had left her bedside the day before and flew home knowing that the inevitable was pending. I pretty much cried during the game even thought Burrow was dismantling Clemson.
My dad and I “watched” the game last night from his hospital bed. He never opened his eyes but we kept telling him the action. This morning he passed. As we watched tonight I kept saying just win it for him. I know he has to be watching. I think he was tied up for 10 innings and finally got around to giving us a little help in the 11th. Love ya dad.
Again, time can heal the deepest wounds and we end up with only the good memories...

I’m so sorry for your loss. The Tigers did it for him.

Sports has a way of connecting us to people and moments like nothing else in this world. Glad you got to share the moment with him.
Sorry for your loss.

My dad was my first call tonight after the bomb. I cant imagine.
Me too I was dancing around my living room screaming at him on speaker phone.
Fiancé and I are packing our bags Saturday now so I can drive home and watch the championship series with the old man. We both have been big baseball guys our whole life. Never follow MLB but we love that “magic” that still exists in the college game and it’s tournaments.

Sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. At least you were with him to share the moment. After the win, the first thing I told my wife was "I wish my Dad was still with us to have seen this game". Lost my Dad 5 years ago, & it still hurts, he was my best friend and also an LSU fanatic.

Sorry brother it hurts and I don’t know if it gets better or if you just get better at living with it but I feel your pain as I lost mine very recently as well and all I want to do is call him to talk about it. Keep your head up and keep moving forward

Opening day last season I lost my Grandpa, we watched every game together
He would have loved watching Skenes pitch

God bless you and your family fellow Tiger. May your Dad watch the Tigers win it all from the best seat in the House of Heaven.

I'll be praying that peace be with you and your family. May the moments of joy for the time you shared with him outnumber the moments of pain for your loss. Nothing but love, man.
