Exactly what I was thinking. He was pulled because of the number of pitches - tonight and last Tuesday. Good move.

It’s not the “consecutive days”. It’s how much he threw two nights ago. He pitched in the 7th and then all of the 8th and 9th innings the other night. That’s a lot of warmup pitches and live game pitches.
