LSU said TE. Dak committed to State. LSU fired Croatian in part bc if of missed development and recruitment of QBs. Steve E said , hey let’s get this guy on campus and see what works. Dak said, I already committed to State. Have to criticize Les and Crowton, as well as tip the cap to Dak.

Les was a moron, especially in terms of offensive strategy and offensive talent evaluation. Truly a dumb, stubborn dunderhead. 1/9 was emblematic of his incompetence.

1) Didn’t Saban tell Vince Young he wasn’t a college QB?

2) This has happened to EVERY SINGLE COACH EVER

3) Chase may very well be an All Pro NFL safety right now if he had dedicated himself to that. Just because a great football player turned out great at one position doesn’t mean he wouldn’t have turned out great at another. Great football players are great football players.

Miles certainly had his faults, but I don’t believe this.

You sad little Karens forget your fist bumping when he brought a natty home. You people are such hypoctites.

One has to ask exactly what honors YOU have ever brought to LSU?

Imagine if you knew all the players Saban converted to a different position

Chase was not a full time receiver when told and he probably could have been a good CB
Some of LSU's best CBS played receiver in high school

TBF Chase, Faulk and Prescott would be a heck of a defensive backfield.

And maybe Miles motivated Chase and he improved.

Who knows. I do know I am tired of giving a shite about what Les Miles did.

Thanks for clearing the situation with Dak up for me. But I still think I'm right about RGIII. I seem to remember that Les recruited him but didn't want him to play QB, so he went to Baylor.

I don't think we even offered him, and I don't think he ever even visited LSU TBH. He's even said he thinks he may have been underrecruited because he didn't attend many camps in high school. But most schools were recruiting him as an athlete and not a QB. Art Briles was the only coach who offered him solely as a QB with the opportunity to play early (first at Houston then at Baylor once Briles took the job in Waco), which is why he ended up there. His dream school, Texas, offered him as a WR. He was also a late bloomer. He didn't start on his high school team until his junior season. Prior to his senior season of high school, he had more interest as a college track athlete than a football player. He was still a raw, extremely athletic prospect, which is why he was recruited the way he was. And honestly, he didn't really make a name as a good college QB until his junior year at Baylor.
