How long was his ankle hampering his mobility cause ya know, Miles said SEVERAL times thereafter that he was going to "try" and get Harris in.

How many head coaches bend the truth to hide injuries? The answer is all of them do. Les & the staff wanted teams to have to prepare for both quarterbacks even if there was no chance of Harris playing. How much football do you actually follow? Now who is the stupid one? Idiot.

Gotta keep em guessing as to whether we're going with the running threat who's not much of a threat to pass or the not much of a threat to pass who's a running threat, huh?

In what other game did we allow three scores within a quarter of play?
AJ only threw 10 passes against AU.

Only Chilge1 would defend those stats

What am I defending? That both Jennings and Harris threw a disproportionate amount of passes because we were trailing by a large margin?

If you couldn't see the difference in playing calling between the 2 quarterbacks then maybe you shouldn't be posting in this. Maybe you shouldn't be posting at all.

There were more rollout passes especially the deep curls that fit Harris' skillset when he played. Not so much with Jennings. Jennings was hesitant to take off & run while Harris never thought twice about taking off. If you don’t believe those are things coaches prepare their defenders for then maybe you should follow something else.

People point to the Auburn game (a good team) and forget what happened vs NMSU.

NMSU? Are you for real? What happened against Auburn was 100 times more telling than what happened against a fricking shite pile school as NMSU.

I find it hilarious that there are fans who actually believe throwing an injured, inexperienced QB who heavily relies on his mobility, into games with limited practice & an already limited knowledge of the playbook would have been a good idea. It's not hard to see why Jennings was the better option even with his shite play

Harris admitted to being hurt at Aub. and some confusion on his part to knowing some plays, but some still refuse to take his own statements into consideration as to why the team went with Jennings.

It's like dealing with 2 yr. olds who stomp their feet and cry if they don't get their way.

I'm all for Harris taking over the job because he has the better skill set but some of the posts in this thread are beyond stupid.

Agreed!!

Jennings was 5-10. You just cited 12 passes.

Are we really convinced beyond a shadow of doubt that Jennings would have done better at Auburn? I'm not.

I know that in order to draw a PI penalty, the ball has to be in the air.

Jennings has earned the job because he works harder than Harris

I'm so sick of hearing this argument. Working harder does not mean he's going to turn into an SEC caliber QB. I can practice jumping for hours a day, I'm still not going to dunk a basketball one day.

Commit yourself to losing about 50 pounds and you'll get closer than you would have otherwise...work makes a difference.

What development did he show during that season? Please show examples. Mett still couldn't maneuver well in the pocket, still overthrew deep balls, and was still inconsistent in his accuracy and decision making. Like I said, the only thing that changed was that Landry and Beckham stopped dropping passes.
