Concur - 3 of 4 people that have season tickets in our area think Miles gets away with coaching incompetence with recruiting.
All signs today indicate next year will see another step back in the offense, if that is even possible. New OL and Jennings again - please ......
Miles had his chance on 1/9 and choked big time. He has choked in every AL game since too.

Some people have difficulty telling the difference between a loud minority and the majority. They assume if they don't hear them, they don't exist.

A competent passing game.

You can't really do too much for kids that want to leave early, but if we can get guys like Hunter, Kwon, Vadal and Hawkins back, it would be a huge achievement. That would sure up the OL, DL, and LB for next year. Even if we lose Collins and Robinson, we get Thomas back, Cutrer after playing a year at JUCO, Paris with a year in the system, and 5 star #2 ranked CB Toliver. Even with losing Mills and Martin, we have Adams, Jefferson, and the guy I can't wait to see lay some licks in Battle. Dural is a 5th rounder at best that needs major work on his route running so I don't think he leaves. You get back you're top 4 WRs plus Fournette and Williams in the backfield. Also, there is an amazing trio of guys coming in at the RB spot so we will be loaded there.

If we can get Harris in order, there is no doubt in my mind that we'll be a top 10 team by year's end. Schedule is set up easy with no back to back away games and a crappy OOC schedule.

Usually Ole Miss is trying to play spoiler for LSU. Now the tables have been turned and we're rejoicing because we've played spoiler for them.

That our programs have switched roles is supposed to be a positive thing?

You're OK with going sub-.500 as long as we beat Ole Miss? The Magnolia Bowl is going to be LSU's Super Bowl now? That's OK with you?

One fricking year dude. It isn't like this every year. ANd damn right, I'll be happy to spoil any good season they ever have. That what any LSU fan should feel.

Our fans are idiots, and Miles is really just too nice and decent a guy to handle them appropriately.

Saban was coarse and abrasive. He was the guy who threw out the "catastrophe symdrome" speech, about all the chicken littles who claim the sky is falling. He basically said HE was running the football team, he knew what he was doing, and everyone else should chill out. Miles hasn't and won't do this, and it's allowed our fanbase to just fester over. Maybe he thought our fans would see the overall success and realize things are under control; but instead, people found new things to panic over.

Making the right decisions from a competitive standpoint BEFORE the 80% of the fanbase can make that conclusion by watching the players on the field.

Ooo, I know I know! Another 2 loss season in which one of the 2 losses is to Alabama and we watch the Tide roll to another national championship. Most LSU fans on here would all back on Miles' tip again.

I think if Les doesn't show great improvement next year he will be in trouble. Natives are restless!

I'm a Les fan, BUT the offense has to change, Harris has to play, and LSU has to seriously contend in the West in 2015 ... or, I fear, Les is in trouble.

For the first time in his career, a very substantial percentage of the LSU fanbase (if it's not a majority, it's at least a substantial minority and definitely a higher percentage than it has ever been) want Miles gone. Obviously, there's nothing he can do in these last two games to change that, which means next year will be his first opportunity to turn it around. What do you think it will take?

I just don't agree with you. This isn't new…and it's certainly something Miles has faced before. And, more importantly, if LSU were to beat A&M and win the bowl game, 95% of the chatter would end.

Expecting/demanding an SEC title and/or national title is ridiculous and irrational, as there are too many variables/breaks that go into that. However, setting a 9-10 win "bar" to meet after a down year is not ridiculous at all IMO, and is very reasonable considering the resources that we have.

I disagree. It would have been 4-5 years since he won his last SEC title. If you can't win one in that time frame at LSU then you need to hit the road.

If you are saying something unforeseen could happen next year to derail the car, then he shouldn't have wasted the 3-4 years previously. Nobody else's fault. Poor evaluation, draft eligible players, blah blah blah.

Bc after next year the defense is gonna be young again when we lose players to the NFL. Then it will be 6 years since his last sec title. There will always be an excuse if you look hard enough.

Win the sec title or get out. Otherwise LSU is gonna be in this never ending cycle with no hardware to show for it.

While most people I know have critiques of Miles, I don't think I've heard a single one come out this year and say they think he should be fired.

Frankly, a lot of people, both on here and in the "real world" tend to be very reactive and base their feelings on the last game or two at a time. Team gets a couple of wins, everybody is taking how they're coming along and imposing their will on opponents. Team loses a game, everything is doom and gloom.

It's kind of like generals who are always fighting the last war.

I think LSU would have to lose 5 games or more two years in a row for Les Miles to be in trouble with his bosses. We fans (I am a season ticket holder and longtime TAF member.) have no real say in whether Les goes UNLESS we stop buying tickets in large numbers.

I believe Les will right the ship in 2015 and win enough to make us satisfied.

As a warning: what are the chances that LSU will have THREE STRAIGHT ultra successful HC's? We have had two in a row who have won far above LSU historical standards. If Les falters, our next HC will likely be less successful at LSU than Les or Saban was. Do you trust Alleva and our utterly incompetent BOS to hire a great HC?
