You guys really think Gundy is going to say "Nah, we would've gotten killed by them"?

They were an overload-the-box, man-to-man team on defense, and you could not play our team in man that year. We were too good.

This fool must have forgotten we had arguably the best college defense of all time in 2011, and our secondary was the reason for that.

Exactly. Was LSU more talented and tested? Of course they were. Just the media blowing things out of proportion.

Also, don't forget OSU had a plane crash the night before and lost two coaches (WBB). They weren't exactly in the right frame of mind going into that Iowa State game. It had a weird feeling the whole time.

Not to mention, I would be surprised if they scored more than 10 on that D
Grill me all ypu want but it would have been the best offense LSU would have played all year... And say what you want about running the Ball.... JJ has a shell of himself that night... no matter who we would have played... We would have won I believe but not by as much as LSU homers think...........

They lost the ISU game on purpose to avoid having to play Louisiana State.

Oregon averaged only 2 points and 23 yards less a game on offense than Oklahoma State. West Virginia had a great offense that season too.

Oklahoma State didn’t play a defense in the same stratosphere as LSU while LSU played two teams that may not have been as good but weren’t that far behind.

Oregon was not nearly as good at the start of the season compared to how good OSU was at the end of the season......

They were pretty consistent throughout, only 2 of 14 games under 40 points. Weirdly enough they had issues and couldn't escape the 20's on the NFL-ready defense Gundy thinks couldn't hang with his boys.

Yet Okie Lite had a 17 point lead in the third quarter. Did the plane crash not affect them until later in the game? Seems odd.

The first time Les and Kansas beat Okie St. using mostly the same approach as 2011 LSU, but with lesser talent, will be hysterical.

Chief, that team went 14-2 and won the Rose Bowl. They were good all year. Ask Stanford who the better team was that year.

Yeah I don't put too much stock into what Joe Dirt's half brother says.

Blame your conference Mr Mullet
Had the Big 12 had a championship game you would have had your chance

Ok. OSU’S offense sucked at the end of the year. They would not have gotten to the 50 yard line against LSU..... and JJ would have thrown for over 300 yards and LSU would have won 56-0......

I'm sure he thought the same things about that savage Iowa State team right before the Cyclones went in dry on his team.

They would have scored plenty, the big 12 offenses have proven that, they just also give up a lot of points and would have struggled to stop the Tiger ground game.
