Wouldn't even be in consideration if he hadn't played at LSU.

Former A&M coach Rob Childress went to the CWS twice in 16 years. Yet no one mentions his name. Know why? Because he didn’t play for skip.

Bianco shouldn’t even be on the list.

Matt Moscona just said that he's certain that Bianco wasn't pushed by Skip Bertman.

And he tied LSU, who then went on to win the CWS.

You're shouting from the rooftop at this point.

If you don't want Bianco your best hope is that he doesn't want the challenge.

He wasn't great with just slightly less talented players, but still top 10/15 talent. We aren't that far above Ole Miss in talent.

He's only had a losing record in the SEC 4 times in 21 years. That's actually really good and up there with the best teams. They consistently compete and play well during the regular season...

Once it matters though, they were horrible, especially in regionals where he only won 7 of the 17 regionals they made losing 3 at home. Of those 10 losses, 3 came without a single win, another four came with only 1 win. He wasn't competitive at all.

So ell

Bianco made more tirps to Ohama as a player at LSU then in his 21 years as coach at Ole Miss.

point - set - match

Mike Bianco's career at Ole Miss:

- 1 out of 21 seasons have resulted in a trip to Omaha.

- His career record in super regionals is 7-13.

- His career record in games that would have gotten him to Omaha is 1-8.

- 1 out of 21 seasons have resulted in an SEC regular season championship.

- In the past 10 seasons, Ole Miss has finished in the top half of the SEC West only 3 times.

- He’s regressed overtime. (From 2001-2010, Ole Miss did better in the SEC than they did from 2010-2019.)

- His losses in the postseason have consistently come against schools with less resources (Tenn. Tech; Utah; Tulane)

- His budget at Ole Miss ranks in the top 5 in all of college baseball.

Compare this to McConnell at Louisville. Does McConnell have a top 5 budget? He's done more at a basketball school than most coaches at Power 5 baseball heavy conferences like the SEC, BIG 12, and Pac 12. Why do you think he was selected to be the Team USA baseball coach?

If McConnell isn't the man chosen to lead LSU, or at least offered a big time deal and turned it down, then the whole search was a farce.

This would be a lot better argument and I would agree with you if you actually knew the mans name. Dan McDonnell

This is the most troubling. Not winning the league could be understood if not condoned. But finishing in the bottom half of the WEST 70% of the time… yikes
