really simple. 3 undefeated p5 champs and then the team that beat bama h2h by multiple scores at their place. that's the best win. that's better than bama's win today. period.

Correct.

You have 3 undefeated conference champs:
Wash
Mich
FL St

You have the remaining 1 loss teams

Texas - conf champ. Owns head to head over Bama.

Bama - conf champ

Uga.

valid to keep FSU without Travis out

So if Milroe trips on a sidewalk next week and can’t play, you gonna go back and put Georgia in? Four more weeks of Rodemaker getting first team reps won’t make him a serviceable option? LSU won titles with Matt Mauck and Matt Flynn! This whole “roster projection” bullshite is just Bama muddying the waters to hide their (and their conference’s) shitty resume!

Why not play worst loss instead of best win…..Is Texas’ loss not worse than Bama’s loss?

If you go that direction (H2H doesn’t matter), UGA loss is better than Bama loss. FTR I don’t care who gets in, but you could do this all day. That’s why a 12 team playoff is needed.

That may be the right choices but would you say that washington or fsu can beat bama by what you saw this weekend ? Would you say that texas can beat bama again ?? Michigan always chokes in the playoff. Are you confident michigan can beat bama ?

But FSU would not be playing their 3rd string QB in the playoffs. It would be their 2nd string QB. He has a concussion not a torn ACL.

I'm in the camp of fsu should be in but rodemaker isn't some huge upgrade. He looked like shite against uf and uf's defense is garbo.

Auburn-beat unranked Cal
A&M-lost to unranked Miami
SC-lost to unranked Clemson, UNC
Florida-lost to unranked Utah, 3) FSU
MSU-beat 14) Arizona in OT

Because they went 13-0 in a power 5 conference. Because they had a significant injury to their star player, but overcame it to continue winning. Because they played 2 SEC teams as part of their OOC schedule. Would be criminal to deny them the opportunity. They have earned it. But I think the committee will probably screw them over.

Y’all some petty bitches seriously.

You’re probably right, but it’s true that Texas should get in before Bama. That miracle play against Auburn was awesome, but it doesn’t wipe out the fact that a very average team had Bama on the ropes. Had that come early in the season, like the Texas loss, it could be waved off like Texas’ Oklahoma loss.

If we are going by best teams, Washington is the one that should be left out. That team would be about like Missouri if they played in the SEC.

Can y’all just admit than any of the other 4 teams would smoke FSU with their 3rd string freshman QB?

They will have their second string QB back for the playoffs with about a month to prepare.

And their defense is really, really good.

And not their SR QB1 who led them to 11 wins. I’m not saying FSU won’t get in, but 95% of these people just want Bama to be out regardless of why. Still got that sour taste in their mouths after 20 years.

I don’t want Bama out just because they are Bama.

But I do want the regular season to matter.

FSU did everything they had to do. They went 11-0 before their QB got hurt. Then they won a rivalry game with their backup and a CCG with their 3rd QB.

That shows they are a complete team.

And while we all may THINK Bama would beat them, we don’t actually know that.

Bama should not have lost to Texas at home. It sucks for you guys but with only 4 teams in you blew it by losing that game.

I thought the goal was the 4 best teams right now. If so that’s not the top 4

there have been years where the best team at that time had 2 or 3 losses.. I think it should go to the most deserving team. If you’re in a power 5 and go undefeated, you should get in before a 1 loss P5 team. This from someone who can’t stand FL State…

You can also say that two very poor teams (TCU and UH) had Texas on the ropes. Not to mention UT's EXTREMELY lucky OT win at home vs K State, or their loss to a less-than-stellar Oklahoma team.

For every argument attempting to exclude Bama from the 4 team playoff, I can produce at least two which exclude UT.

Only in participation trophy world it is. Texas, bama, georgia, Michigan are correct choices for 4 BEST teams. Not most deserving teams
