The week before LA Tech's QB's was 44-of-58 for 449 yards, five touchdowns, and no interceptions. He carried the ball 9 times for 26 yards, third on the team in rushing for the night. Against the very same defense!
So if there was ever going to be a break out game for Mett, this should have been it!!!!

I'd hope so, seeing as that's the last sentence of his fricking post

More of the "tl;dr" shite. God the Rant is like the world's largest group of 12 year old's in one spot.

Dude. A person who actually understands the aspects of football. I congratulate you. Honestly, I do. It's amazing HOW MANY people...simply just don't get it. And many of them come to this site and actually click on your thread to tell you "it was too long, I didn't read it." Hilarious. Simply stunning. There aren't many people around (apparently) who understand why it's VERY tough to throw out of I-PRO MAX PROTECT when your receivers CONTINUOUSLY run 10 yard out routes on BOTH sides. Linebackers cheat outside, corners play tight and GAMBLE more. Remember newbies, there's no tight end running up the middle bc it's MAX PROTECT so don't bring that "well he's open over the middle" crap up in here. He ain't open. Bc he's blocking. When we're throwing. Out-routes. In triple coverage (basically). Mett is a good QB, he really is. IT ISN'T HIS FAULT. And yes, he does make a terrible decision and throw into triple coverage sometimes, but like the OP said, you people boo when it's actually the correct move to throw into the 5th row of the stands. It's play-calling fellas. We're vanilla. We're artificial vanilla. I love the Tigers with all my heart and I absolutely love and UNDERSTAND the game of football. This post is honestly the one great thought I was waiting to see and I can't believe it took this long for someone to frickin NAIL it. Kudos OP, I don't know you but would love to watch a game with you one day. And to all others, please ask yourself: Do you really think our problem is the 6"5' 230 pound, rocket-slinging, 11th overall ranked pro-style QB coming out of high school?? Oh one more thing, I think Coach Les Miles is an awesome dude, first-rate recruiter with outstanding morals. Who also happens to have a damn strong football team.

good points, Jarrett. You opened an account for this post? Sorry you did not realize the nature of the rant, whose membership is averse to more than a paragraph of reading.

Well put OP. sounds to me like you have a firmer grasp of the offensive problems than the coaching staff. I believe that the most talented QBs would struggle greatly to excel within the current scheme.

Thanks for the compliment. When you are trying to explain to a mass group you have to cover all aspects or else you will get lite up. Usually when you make a good point and thoroughly explain something the novice football fan can't understand, they reply "too long", "war and Peace"....The one guy that says I do not like Miles,I would ask "in which post have I fabricated anything about Miles or his play calling?" Look, I enjoy talking ball and very fortunate I understand it better than most want to. Just kidding, its not that hard. It's a numbers game

Cliffs:

- it's hard to be effective throwing the ball if you're only running a few routes, with only a few WRs going out on each play

- moar bubble screenz

- we need to let Mett go all McCarron 1/9/12 on the opposition

I read it. and agree. I believe this is why top pro style QBs typically don't come to LSU. I don't think a NC will entice them, they are looking to get the development necessary to make them million$ and they know they won't get it at LSU.
