"Mark my word, you will see more of the old Les Miles during the Alabama game. Seriously? What Changed? He is back to being the underdog...Perfect rallying cry for a coach. "No one is giving us a chance to win, when you play tonight you have absolutely nothing to lose, go have fun, play loose and lets show the nation what the LSU Tigers are made of"

RR,I made this post yesterday. However, I never mentioned anything about X's and O's!!! This is clearly his weakness. He needs to get out of his own way. His unpredictability is what made him tough to play, but all that is gone. You have to admit his onside kicks, fake punts, fake FGs put points on the board. Now they are not there. Just a fact,it is easier to do that when you are the underdog. When you are the favorite, your mindset changes from "hell, we arent suppose to win, lets try it" to "if this doesnt work,it might cost us the game"!!

Not real sure what you were talking about when you referred to me knowing what is going on behind the scenes at LSU!! I clearly stated I did not know.....

RR, I am a Tiger fan. I do not post this in hopes that LSU loses, that in no way, shape or form is my intention. Matter of fact, my passion for football and LSU is why I post what I do.

Why should you trust my evaluations? You don't have to. I respectfully decline to tell you who I am. Do you ask people that share your same views "why should we trust their evaluation?" If there is someway you can give me your personal email, I will be glad to share. My opinions are just that. I feel as though I use a lot of logic in my opinions along with knowledge of the game. However, football is not rocket science. As I have said in many post, it is a numbers game through and through. I love talking the game. Its in my blood. My post are long because I like to thouroughly explain everything..This is best way I can break it down and it really is (when you get through the BS what coordinators are trying to do) this simple. In your opinion, which set group has the best chance of succeeding...Your are offense....Group A: You have 2 offensive players and 1 defensive player or Group B,you have 9 offensive players and 10 defensive players. They are all the same size, age, etc...who in your mind has the best chances to be successful. As a coach, your job is to put your players in the best possible position to be successful. Obviously Group A has the better chance and this is not being done on the offensive side at LSU. Its not always that clear cut, but thats why teams use motions and shifts is to gain a numbers advantage. This is the very reason that the "Wildcat" is so successful. Because of the QB, the defense can always send one more than the offense can block. Well when teams get into the "Wildcat" it evens things out (it allows the offense to be accountable for ever defender; another football term you will hear on Saturdays, You now have a "hat on a hat"! The QB is now accounted for a WR and the ball is directly snapped to the RB!!

Damn, I am even tired of typing. If LSU would simply use the basic concept that every offensive coordinator tries to accomplish from Pop Warner to the NFL, the offense would have more success. I apologize in advance for the long post, but hope this helps RR

You certainly do type a lot...

My whole point in the beginning was not a slam on you, but questioning why we should listen to you...since you're new and all.

Of course anyone can post whatever they like - it was never about saying that you can't post because you're not Sean Payton...or are you?

And I'm not asking you to give your name, address, and blood type - just a better understanding of how you've come about this knowledge. If you have played/coached at a high level, then that would be awesome, and that's all that you'd have to say (not that you have to say anything at all).

One last thing, my initials here would be RT...not RR. In that regard, you do sound like TLSU, but he would never care about football this much.

Or would he...

Regarding the questions about talent; when you look back over the past 7 years and you see where LSU has lined up in recruiting classes compared to other schools LSU falls in this category. To your other question, I posted this:

CLM has a great record, not arguing that, he is a great recruiter, not arguing that, he makes great hires, not arguing that...it does not even bother me they lose games, IT BOTHERS ME HOW THEY LOSE GAMES...and if you know coaching, you have to agree, it just does not make sense some of the coaching errors that are made during these losses.

I obviously was thinking Rummel Raider, my bad. Lake Chuck fan, long story, but trying to explain my concerns to RT!!!! Lonely, no...I am passionate for football and LSU and I really enjoy the strategy of the game. Just think, if we were sitting down drinking beer, you would be through a 12 pack and wouldnt have even finished my first if my typing equals my talking.

RT, even on the points you are asking, I could BS you and you would never know the difference. Not the type to throw a bunch of BS on a website and it be just irrational. Probably why post are so long because I try, in my eyes, add logic to the post. Here you go, I am in a very fortunate situation where I have been around numerous college coaches, college coaches meetings (yes, nationally ranked), practices, film sessions. Been around only a few NFL coaches (1 HC)-- Got a job as GA younger, and didnt go because of my wife..who was my gf at time) which I regret..not because of her, but because I missed an opportunity to make money doing something I love. However, I have coached at HS level for past 15 years as volunteer. By doing this, I at least have my passion part time..Now put the Kleenex away and back to ball......

Cool, okay, then I'll look at your posts more down the road.

See, that's all you needed to do...

Calling me a buffoon was just downright nasty.

We bust balls here - if you couldn't tell, so try not to take anything here all that seriously.

I have your email, so I'll shoot you a note to get the full story.

Holy shite. Analyze too much? Learn how to sum what you're saying up in a few sentences.

I can do it for you: "The coaches simple playcalling is killing Mett"

Thank you for being Captain Obvious. As if nobody saw this before.

IN MY OPINION, I feel like when you play Idaho, North Texas, etc...if you are going to keep the first O-Line in until the middle of the 4th Q, you should be throwing the ball, especially with a young QB. The only way a young receiving core and QB and his line get better is by repetition.
i do agree with this... this has been my biggest complaint this year..

My God!! Is this whole board made up of simpletons? It took all of about 3 minutes to read. The state of this society is shite when people can't read more than 2 sentences. Just Damn.

My job has allowed me to get to know a number of D1 coaches, mostly assistants, a few head guys too. Spend a lot of non-football time around them but obviously the subject comes up. Learning about their football thoughts and what they go through has given me a whole new perspective on their lives and jobs. Why I sometimes find some of the posts in here so humorous.
