Nice to hear someone in the media explain how this is a normal situation.

Extremely fair. Josh Pate was also pretty fair about it last night and said much the same.

It doesn't matter though. Once the media onslaught narrative is set, its set, and people dig in on the opinion

90% of the public cannot understand any level of nuance. They just hear "NFL Player" and then go DERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Look at Finebaum on the screen, he’s laughing and smiling bc he’s guilty of pushing that storyline.

We've been making these statements for days/weeks. Did they just find the site? Maybe somebody had a meeting with legal and the term "liability" was brought up...

I think we are FINALLY getting some nuanced takes from national media types. Ya know, at least the ones that aren't dependent on Lane to get them clicks.

They're changing their tune because they're realizing how royally the NCAA screwed this up. There were talks about 5 to play 5 looooong before they enacted it. They knew it was coming and rather than announcing it before all the drafts, they sat on it and then didnt offer a blanket waiver to 2022 kids.

After days of labeling this as "NFL Players returning" they are now trying to be more accurate.

In that same segment that had Finebaum saying "Everyone in the country agrees except people in Baton Rouge".

The created the narrative and now are changing it. They shouldn't be given credit.

Not that I think they see my tweets, but I’ve been hammering all of the talking heads. Calling out their disingenuous (AT BEST) reporting.

That wing nut smiling and laughing in the background shows you what he is all about. A bald Maury Pauvich. He's such a disengenuous twat.

Thank you Greeny & Rodgers!!

And yet Paul KEEPS bringing it back to Lane. I am convinced that ESPN gives him a bonus for every time he says Lane Kiffins name. He seriously has an unhealthy obsession with our coach.

Pretty on point with the IQ of 90% of Americans.

I truly believe that this is a narrative he is pushing from those above him, just to cash in on the excitement of it all. Kiffin nor LSU did anything, but it is easy for them to make LSU the villain .....screw them all. Look at Facebook....almost every article it talking about us getting kicked out of the SEC, and all the posters are piling on saying LSU and Kiffin are dirty. I couldn't care less, but that is what that loser is promoting.

Yeah but now it's time to figure out who in the SEC was put in finebaum up to this because it definitely obviously wasn't all of the schools and then really there needs to be some serious questions of some of these reporters that obviously didn't do their homework

I also wish these guys would make the other critical point that’s been made here:

These guys tried the NFL and didn’t make it. The rule change gives them an opportunity to go back for their 5th year which is now allowed and earn legit money playing football for 1 more year, in many cases their last chance to cash in on their football abilities. These smug assholes standing around in suits yelling at each other about their sports opinions are saying these players shouldn’t be allowed to make money that the new rules allow them to make. Paul Finebaum is essentially saying “I, the rich white guy who gets paid to talk about sports, don’t think these young black guys should get to be paid to play another year of college football despite the rules allowing it”.

If Riddick or one of the other guys put it in those terms I think our boy Paul would fall into place quickly.

That's interesting, because I saw him comment on it before and I didn't like his take at all.

Seems like the media is actually coming around now.

Many of them do and they don’t care, all they care about it’s Lane and they will bash, truth be damned…
