Aranda was best when he was forced to run a defense that wasn’t his philosophy due to personnel. As he built the defense to what he wanted, he steadily dropped off. Our whole DL just held up blocks for 1 blitzing LB while everyone played soft coverage. Worked well against mobile QB’s who couldn’t throw but got us shredded against competent QB’s.

Yep because hiring former LSU DC's has worked so well for LSU in the past.

No, I just want a DC who isn’t scared to pressure the hell out of a QB no matter what team it is. Especially in critical drives

Being facetious, not going to happen, but very disappointed in Baker. He had a few weak points, but overall, Aranda was pretty good.

A young coach who hasn't "figured it out" has no place being the highest paid assistant coach in the country at a major football school.

bo was as we know..........high risk, high reward attacking defense...that is how saban and muschamp were here. lots of man blitzing. saban played 2 gap with his DL. pellini played 1 gap. bo had many DE's contain on 1 side and blitz from the other side.

aranda was more bend but dont break like chavis

remember aranda here and kevin steele at auburn gave up low PPG averages for years and were ranked highly in that category. we used to go through it ad nauseum here.

It seems kind of obvious that LSU fans are loyal to successful assistant coaches.

Do you have a problem with that?

Someone should send Baker a copy of Complete Linebacking by Lou Tepper.
