As of now its clearly Max's job.

You can tell how motivated Brennan is by it.

Wins and losses are team stats. Insane how people evaluate qb's and sp's based on if the team wins

OK, how did the team do when he wasn't playing?

No way Myles loses this job healthy to a Sophmore. I don't see it. It would be a spit in the face to him in my opinion. He waited his turn, played well before his injury. Max's time will come.

I think Myles is likely to be the starter, but it has nothing to do with taking turns. That’s the most sissified thing I’ve heard in a while. If Myles wants the job he better win it, because no one (besides you, apparently) gives a shite how long he’s waited. We want the guy who will lead us to championships.

Aside from the first half against MSU, Brennan put up major points

Against quite literally the worst 3 teams on our schedule. You can throw the stats out all you want, but if you watch the games you can see his weaknesses which would cost us against better competition. I'm all for Max keeping the starting job. He's the future for LSU.

Please review what happened with Tom Brady and Drew Bledsoe.

This is where Saban thinks differently. Hate to bring up his name.
You play the best player regardless of entitlement.
You play to win the game.
Your post is the way Les Miles thinks.

Oh yeah the defense improved as the season went because of who was at qb.. sure.

Scoring 41 on Mizzou and losing is surely because Myles doesn't have IT.

Oh and Mississippi State scored 30 points combined the next 4 weeks. That wasn't a great game by Myles but if the defense wasn't inept we start 3-0.

Wins is NOT an individual stat

Let it play out in practice. But, I do like thatCoach O is hedging to protect the team IF Brennan’s injury comes back to cause problems.

I hate saying Max is overrated because he played well.

But people Are acting like he never scrambled 10 yard backwards before taking a sack or the shoe ply didn’t happen after a 4 yard pass on 3rd and 10.

He was good against Ole Miss but Boutte
Was great.

I think Max has the skills to be a great starter for LSU, but I agree with your assessment. Against UF and OM who were very poor defenses he completed 55% of his passes.

I don't care who starts. I just hope one of them really elevates themselves before the fall and becomes the clear starter.

But Max also needs to develop more touch on his passes

His pass to the back of the EZ against UF, where while rolling out, he recognized the position of the safety and put some air under the ball to loft it over his reach, was the best pass off the season.

LSU fans seem to always make a problem where there is none.

Be thankful. No matter which of the four starts/plays, they will have won over stiff competition.
We as fans win.
Two years ago, during the spring game, Brennan looked as good as Joe. The coaches saw that Joe was the best.
I'm confident they will make the right choice again.

If Myles would forget about his injury, play tough and show people he's not afraid of taking a hit, his stock would skyrocket. If not, he won't even sniff a clipboard in the NFL. Risk injury and make millions, or play soft and be forgotten. It's his choice to make.

What a loser mentality.

Look, I still think Brennan will be the starter come game 1. But I don’t care about waiting turns or whatever. Whoever performs best plays. Doesn’t matter who’s been around longer or who has seniority.

2nd half taking 5 seconds to see a wide open receiver, giving time to a defender to hit his arm, forcing int. He makes that throw we probably win the opener. And like poster said below, he padded stats against worst teams on our schedule. Injury didn't come until Missouri, which now they say it happened on that goal line sequence end of first half, it explains the rough 2nd half missing tons of throws, but also shows the guts he had to play through it.

I like them both, but both need development. Max putting up numbers he did without t marshall, and no starting rbs for 3 of the 4 halves of it, all fr wr,te is more impressive. Should be good competition, we all need to be behind whoever gets the nod. We'll see them both this year, as last year showed, injuries happen.

None of our QBs will reach their potential until the O-line plays better. Although he put up good numbers, Brennan was constantly being harassed. In the Missouri game especially. Brennan had no time against a depleted D Line

Great, so we’re now supposed to play players who “wait their turn” regardless of performance. Gotcha.
